OUT-OF-DISTRICT (OD) FEES

Our programs are open to everyone regardless of whether you live within our district boundaries. District users who live outside of district boundaries do not pay property taxes to help support Sisters Park & Recreation District and are subject to a 30% fee increase.

REFUND POLICY

Please review our direct refund policy and be sure to communicate ahead of time if plans change and you cannot attend a program. Our refund policy is as follows unless otherwise noted.

✓ 5 business days notice or more prior to the first day of the program: 100% refund or credit is given minus a $5 processing fee.

✓ 3-4 business days notice prior to the first day of the program: 50% refund or credit is given minus a $5 processing fee.

✓ 2 business days notice prior to the first day of the program or less: no refund or credit given.

✓ Program fees are not refunded or prorated for participants who miss portions of the program.

✓ Full refunds or credits will be granted for programs that are canceled by the district, without withholding a $5 processing fee.

✓ In addition to the refund policy, transfers and/or cancellation of specialty and day camp weeks are subject to a $25 fee per camp/per child.

Indoor/Outdoor Playtime

Ages 0-5. Join us to get the wiggles out! SPRD offers an open, non-staffed, playtime that is open to families looking for a safe space to run, play, and have fun!

Arts and Crafts Camps

May 16 – No School Day Activity!

Grades 3-5. In this class campers will use floating ink on water to create mesmerizing, swirling patterns on paper. This traditional Japanese paper marbling method, called Suminagashi, allows for a unique blend of colors and forms. The magic happens when the paper is flipped over, revealing stunning designs that seem to appear out of nowhere. This hands-on camp encourages creativity, patience, and an appreciation for the beauty of fluid art. Location: Sisters Community Recreation Center 5/16 F 12-2:30p $45 ID/$59 OD

Child and Babysitter Safety (CABS)

Ages 12+. The CABS training gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. Learn how to get started with a business, build a resume, learn what questions to ask while interviewing families, work with parents and children, and keep you safe as well as the children you’re caring for, caregiving, and first aid tips. This course is designed to complement the CPR/ First Aid program for those beginning to babysit. Instructor: Northwest Emergency Medical Training

Bike Park 242 Pump & Jump Clinic

Ages 4-12. Come join the fun and learn new skills at Bike Park 242! Participants must bring their own bike and helmet and should already be proficient bike riders and be able to ride without training wheels. We ask that parents remain on site throughout the clinic. Learn to Skateboard Clinics

Basketball

Ages 4-5. Introduce your little one to basketball. We will be working on ball handling, dribbling and teamwork. Each session will focus on movement and fun. They might even find their new favorite sport.

Grades 3-5. On Day 1, campers will tap into their creativity and transform ordinary rocks into colorful, one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Day 2 is all about hands-on experimentation as campers dive into the world of making their own slime, putty, and gak! This is where creativity and science collide as they mix and measure various ingredients to create different textures and consistencies.

Outlaw Adventures

Grades 6-8. All middle school students are welcome as we go out and explore all that the Sisters community has to offer. With a variety of activities offered throughout the season, this is the place to be! Participants should bring a water bottle and must provide their own lunch.

Challenge yourself on this moderate 4-mile hike up Black Butte and be rewarded with fantastic 360-degree views of the Cascade mountains!

SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM

Entering 1-5. SPRD partners with the City of Sisters to bring to you the Summer Playground Program! This 6-week, noncustodial, program offers kids fun activities - games, arts and crafts - at neighborhood parks, led and supervised by SPRD staff. This is a daily drop in program and does require preregistration.

Camp Ponderosa

Entering K-5th. SPRD has combined both Camp Juniper and Camp Ponderosa for a fun-filled adventure! Looking for a way to keep your kid active and entertained this summer? Look no further! Camp Ponderosa is the perfect mix of adventure and play including walking field trips to local Sisters places such as the library, Seed to Table and more! *No camp on 7/4. The weekly fee is adjusted to reflect a four-day camp.

Grades 1-6. Join Camp Fire Central Oregon and learn how to create LEGO robots that can perform various tasks using motors and sensors. Coyle Outside Intro to Wilderness Survival

Ages 6-9. Learn the basics of thriving in the wild in this survival camp that covers a bit of everything! Campers learn confidence, initiative, communication, and common sense through fun survival scenarios in teams and on their own. Skills introduced include shelters, fire building, cordage, navigation, knots, traps, primitive skills, and more. We won’t get to everything, there’s too much, but the week is packed! We play survival-themed games, and the week ends with an exciting final scenario and a certificate of achievement parents are invited to attend. No prerequisites. Ages 8-12. Full day of building survival skills and testing yourself against real life survival scenarios! We dive even deeper into skills the group finds most engaging. Our goal is building initiative, self-control, and judgment skills while connecting with the natural world and having fun. Ages 9-14. This camp goes in depth into critical survival skills using fun, challenging real life scenarios. Participants work on their own and in teams to problem solve various skills challenges and scenarios while learning skills such as shelter, fire, tool use, knife safety, traps, rope and knots, plant uses, animal tracking, primitive skills, navigation, and more! Outlaw Soccer Camp

Grades 3-8. Run by Sisters High School varsity soccer coaches along with the help of current varsity soccer players. Camp will focus on developing individual skills and technique, as well as team tactics. Players must bring water bottle, cleats, shin guards, soccer ball, and positive attitude.

Grades 1-4.

Tackle Football

Grades 5/6. In partnership with the Central Oregon Recreation League, players will be introduced to 11-man tackle football. Teams will practice 2-3 times per week in Sisters with games on Saturdays in neighboring Central Oregon communities. Fee includes gear rental; players will be fitted for gear prior to first practice. Volunteer coaches needed!

Flag football is a great way to introduce your child to organized football. Program emphasizes fundamental skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun. FALL 2025 PREVIEW

Preschool

Ages 3-5. Our preschool program has offered a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive for over 14 years. Through a balanced curriculum encompassing playbased learning, socialization activities, and age-appropriate academics, we foster holistic development in preparation for kindergarten and beyond.

Students must be 3 years old by September 1, 2025, and fully potty trained. This program is eligible for the SPRD scholarship as well as we accept EDRC. Ask staff for more details.

Kids Club

Grades K-5. The focus of the Sisters Park & Recreation District after-school program is to provide a safe, structured, and fun environment for your kiddo. Our program will run in the gym at the Sisters Elementary School and includes structured playtime, enrichment activities, and a snack. Kids Club will follow the Sisters School District calendar. ERDC accepted.

Mon-Fri After school-5:30pm $250/month

Registration for fall Kids Club will open on August 2 at 8 a.m. and will be first come, first serve. For more details visit www.sistersrecreation.com.

ADULT PROGRAMS (18 YEARS AND OLDER)

All adults ages 18 are older are welcome to our adult programs, with the exception of some specialty programs. There is something for all interests and abilities.

Game Night by SOUL

Adult Cornhole League - Sponsored by Takoda’s Restaurant

Ages 16+. This is a recreational and social league for all ages and abilities. Teams will play a 12-match schedule with 2 matches per night plus a single-elimination tournament to end the season.

FAMILY RECREATION

These programs are open to both youth and adults! These are the perfect programs to learn something new and have fun with a loved one!

Family Paint Party

Ages 18+. Under 18 welcome with a responsible adult. Join Sisters Opportunities for Unified Living (SOUL) for their once-a-month game nights. All persons, experiencing a disability or not, are welcome for an evening of fun! This program will take a break June through September.

Open Gym

Ages 16+. Stay active and enjoy some friendly competition and pick-up games during our open gym times. Open gyms are a great way to connect with others in the community while having fun and staying fit. Location: Sisters Community Recreation Center

Adult Coed Softball League

Ages 5+. Get creative and learn to paint! No experience needed and all materials included! In this fun, 2-hour class, you will be led stepby-step from blank canvas to finished painting. Already love art? Deepen your creativity and learn some new techniques in an encouraging atmosphere. You will walk away with a 16x20 work of art you’ve done yourself! *Registration fee is for one adult and one child; additional fee for an additional child. Ages 16+. This is a recreational league for all ages and abilities. Teams will play a minimum 6-game schedule plus a singleelimination tournament to end the season. Teams will play a minimum of one game per week, with the possibility to play 1-2 games per week based on the total number of registered teams.

Bike Maintenance Basics

Ages 12+. Learn the basics of bike maintenance from the crew at Blazin Saddles, just in time for spring riding! Learn to fix a flat, how to clean your bike and lube your chain, basic adjustments, tubeless tire maintenance and more! No need to bring your bike, just your willingness to learn!

Ukulele for Beginners

Ages 18+. E Komo Mai, come join the fun and learn some fundamental skills to get you playing the ukulele quickly! The focus will be on learning to read and play chords along with different strumming techniques and even a little fingerpicking. No musical experience needed. CPR/AED & First Aid

Ages 12+. In emergency situations, having the skills and knowledge to respond effectively can make a life-saving difference. The comprehensive CPR, First Aid, and AED training course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills required to provide immediate assistance and support to individuals experiencing medical emergencies.

Ages 18+. Come socialize, meet new friends, and have fun playing the classic card game of Cribbage! Participants must provide their own cribbage boards.

Group Bike Rides - Hosted by Blazin Saddles

Ages 16+. We have partnered with Blazin Saddles to host a series of group rides throughout the spring and summer. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and explore local trails. Location: Meets at Blazin Saddles (rear parking lot, 413 W Hood Ave.)

MB = Mountain Bikes, GB = Gravel Bikes, R = Road Bikes, E = E-Bikes

Peterson Ridge (MB) - Peterson Ridge Trail System is a great cross-country style trail network that is great for beginners to experts! Two groups will form depending on the desired length of ride. 13-mile beginner/intermediate loop with approximately 700 feet of elevation gain. Or a 20 mile intermediate/advanced loop with 1100 feet of elevation gain.

Green Ridge Road (R) - Out and back road ride from Blazin Saddles. We’ll head north towards Camp Polk, turn on Indian Ford Rd, to Green Ridge Rd until the road turns to gravel. Beautiful views, low traffic! A classic local’s favorite road ride. May split into two groups, depending on desired length and riding speed.

Muscle Maintenance

Ages 18+. This class is designed to help aging adults build and maintain muscle strength through safe and effective weight training and resistance exercises. The exercises target all major muscle groups to enhance balance, stability, and everyday functional movements—modifications are offered to suit individual fitness levels. Glory Daze Car Show

All ages. Set on Main Avenue, this car show is the perfect way to spend a sunny fall day. Event goers will see a variety of cars that will dazzle the eyes and get their heart pumping when they all start after the award ceremony. Looking to register more than one car?
