This year, we are raising funds for Our Future Now, helping us bring our vision to life, as outlined in our recently launched strategic plan, Imagine Our World. Your generosity tonight will help us create a lifelong pathway of support for individuals and communities in need, ensuring that our services can continue to make a meaningful difference across Liverpool and beyond.

EVENT INFORMATION

Rum Warehouse, Titanic Hotel The Titanic hotel has been a key part in the restoration of the historic docks. The busy Rum Warehouse has now been transformed into a hotel full of character, which preserves the charm of the original Victorian architecture combined with contemporary design. Father Nugent’s mission may have touched the lives of the individuals and families that worked in the very warehouse that we are celebrating within!

ACCESSIBILITY We want everyone to enjoy the evening comfortably. The main event room is on the ground floor, just to the right as you enter the venue, making it fully accessible for all guests.

The Ember Room, located upstairs, is also accessible via a lift in the foyer.

Accessible toilets can be found in the foyer, opposite the main event room and next to the cloakroom.

Our team will be on hand throughout the evening to offer any guidance or assistance you may need. If you have any specific requirements, please let us know in advance so we can ensure your experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

EVENT INFORMATION

THE EMBER ROOM The Ember Room, located upstairs and fully accessible via the lift in the foyer, is a welcoming space for conversation and connection. It’s an ideal spot to meet and chat with friends, network with other guests, or simply take a moment to enjoy the atmosphere of the evening. The Ember Room allows you to be part of the gala while providing a slightly more relaxed setting for catching up and enjoying the company around you.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THE ROOM The main event space is packed with interactive fun and ways to get involved throughout the evening. Take a spin on the 360 Spinner, try your luck at a variety of games at the back of the room, or visit the Nugent stand.

At the Nugent stand, you can buy tokens, treat yourself to something sweet from the sweet cart, or pick up a pair of flip-flops — perfect for when your feet get sore from dancing the night away! Every purchase helps support Our Future Now and the people we care for.

SHOW OPENER Kicking off the evening in spectacular style, Helter Skelter Arts will set the stage for an unforgettable night. With vibrancy, imagination, and attention to detail at their heart, this talented team brings circus magic to life through captivating performances and breathtaking visuals.

From a grand welcome to a dazzling opening show, Helter Skelter Arts will light up the room and get the celebrations off to an incredible start.

ENTERTAINMENT

OLIVIA MAE MCKENNA Accompanying your meal this evening is the incredible Olivia Mae, a professionally trained vocalist bringing a touch of sophistication and soul to the night.

A graduate of The Hammond, Olivia performs at events across the UK and beyond, captivating audiences with her powerful vocals and effortless stage presence. Her stunning live performances create the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration, elegance, and connection.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy as Olivia sets the tone for a truly memorable Masquerade Ball.

THE MUZES The Muzes bring an incredible variety of songs to the stage, with a mix of genres that span timeless classics and modern chart-toppers.

Perfect for dancefloors with a broad age range, their high-energy performances and signature saxophone sound keep the party going all night long.

DAVE SEED AND ANNA EAGER To close the night in true Masquerade Ball style, we’re bringing you an unforgettable back-to-back DJ set with Dave Seed and Anna Eager.

Returning after last year’s incredible performance, Dave Seed is back to fill the dancefloor once again — renowned for his infectious energy and seamless mixes that kept guests dancing all night long. Joining him this year is Anna Eager, an acclaimed Ibiza DJ whose vibrant sets have lit up some of the island’s best venues.

SLEEP OUT

Taking action where it matters most! For the fourth consecutive year, our team braved the cold on the cobbled streets outside the National Museums, Liverpool, as headline sponsors and participants in Nugent’s Sleep Out. Together, we helped raise a remarkable £13,848 to support vital efforts against homelessness.

SUSIE’S STORY Susie* lived at one of our children’s home for just over two years, she had a challenging relationship with her mum but loved her little sister Hope and her Nan. Susie wanted to stay at the home. Following a discussion with Ofsted and the local authority it was agreed she could stay until she turned 18. This meant that she could enjoy Christmas in her home with the team and her friends, who she had built positive relationships with.

Sadly, Susie was required to move out of the children’s home into her own flat on her own in 2021 aged 18.

When Susie visited our home, the team recognised that she was low in mood and self-harming. The team offered support to Susie. It was clear that Susie was struggling emotionally and often stated that she was lonely and hated her flat. Susie would visit the home often to see her friends and have tea.

In 2021, Susie was found lying on Lime Street train track, she was quickly admitted into a psychiatric hospital. Susie was released from the hospital to her independent living apartment. However, she was admitted back into hospital many times as a result of wanting to take her own life.

In March 2022 whilst admitted to hospital, Susie took her own life. A year after leaving the home, aged 19.

Susie’s story deeply resonates with everything we do at Nugent. It reminds us of the vital importance of providing continuous support, not just up to 18, but throughout every stage of life. Her experience highlights the risks of social isolation and the critical need for consistent, compassionate support, no matter a person’s age or circumstances. Susie’s journey has shaped our vision of seamless, full-life care ensuring that no one faces life’s challenges alone.

Susie’s legacy drives us to protect and support vulnerable individuals at every step, so that everyone has a chance to flourish.

HELP US REFILL OUR PANTRY THIS CHRISTMAS As the cost of living continues to impact families across our region, our Nugent Pantry is seeing more people than ever in need of support, and our shelves are running worryingly low. With Christmas fast approaching, we’re asking for your help to make sure no one goes without.

You can support us by donating essential food and household items at one of our drop-off points: No. 99 Edge Lane, Liverpool, L7 2PE — Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm St Anne’s Church, Overbury Street, Liverpool, L7 3HJ — Thursdays, 10am– 2pm We’re also looking for businesses, schools and community groups to partner with us by setting up their own Pantry donation points, helping us collect vital supplies for local families in need.

Join us on Friday 19th December at midday (12 noon) at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral for the Nugent Light Up a Life service where you can reflect and remember your loved ones whilst supporting Nugent’s work in the local community.

Our annual Light Up a Life event, held at the beautiful Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, is more than just a service, it’s a space for remembering our loved ones and connecting with our families, friends and neighbours. We gather to remember those who have touched our lives and left us with cherished memories.

At the service you can write a dedication to honour your loved ones with a personalised message or memory, which will be displayed on our remembrance tree over the Christmas period.
