Toy Story 5 brings Woody, Buzz and the gang back for a brand new adventure that dives into the world of modern play. This time, the toys are facing their biggest challenge yet: technology.
After more than 30 years of adventures, laughs and emotional moments, we’re joining Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the Toy Story gang for another unforgettable story. But this time, the toys aren’t facing a daycare disaster or a runaway road trip… They’re facing technology. Yep, the new movie’s theme is being described as ‘Toy meets tech’ and honestly? It sounds so relatable.
Bonnie is now eight-years-old, and like lots of kids today, she’s discovered a brand-new obsession: electronics. Her newest toy is called Lilypad, a frog-shaped tablet with a huge personality and plenty of opinions. But Lilypad isn’t just a regular device. She talks, reacts and believes she knows the best way for Bonnie to play. That becomes a major problem for Jessie, who is now leading Bonnie’s toy crew with Buzz Lightyear by her side. Suddenly, the toys are competing for Bonnie’s attention against Lilypad's glowing screens, addictive games, and tech that never ever switches off. The gang’s jobs are now much harder, which could mean some seriously funny but also emotional moments ahead.
The
gang is back!
The best news? Almost everyone is returning to the toy box, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bo Peep, Forky, Rex, Hamm, Slinky Dog, Trixie and Duke Caboom. New characters like Lilypad, Smarty Pants and Atlas will also join the adventure, bringing fresh energy to the toy box.
Remember that ending?
If you cried during Toy Story 4, you were definitely not alone. At the end of the movie, Woody made the heartbreaking decision to leave Bonnie and stay with Bo Peep as a “lost toy”, while Buzz Lightyear and the others remained behind. It felt like the end of an era… and we did not think another Toy Story movie would ever be made after that super sad ending. But now, Toy Story 5 will finally show Woody reuniting with the gang…yay! And fans can’t wait to see what happens next.
ToyswiftTaylorand Story?
What makes this story extra interesting is that it’s not just about the toys this time. Pixar says the movie is showing how technology is changing the way kids play. It’s a theme that feels super modern, and this movie is ready to explore it in a way that’s funny, heartfelt and makes you think about your own life. The toys aren’t just battling gadgets, they’re trying to understand how they fit into a changing world and whether there’s still a place for old-school play (we think there is!). With Woody returning, Jessie leading the room and Buzz Lightyear trying to keep everyone together, the story hints at big choices, new challenges and the kind of emotional twist Toy Story movies are known for.
Why everyone’s talking about it
When Disney released the Toy Story 5 trailer, Taylor Swift fans noticed it dropped at the exact same time as one of Taylor’s mysterious countdown teasers online. Swifties instantly turned it into a mini-internet event, joking that ‘Taylor and the toys are syncing their schedules’. No one knows for sure, and at the time we write this, nothing has been confirmed, but the overlap definitely sparked theories and a whole lot of ‘what if…’ energy across both fandoms. Some fans even started imagining what a crossover could look like - including a playful, upbeat song that could fit right into a Toy Story montage. We're imagining an adventure-vibe song about friendship, bravery and finding your place, with a hint of Taylor style storytelling. Whether it ever happens or stays a fan-made fantasy, the idea has definitely added to the mystery! Toy Story 5 is

Minions & Monsters is the third Minions movie and the seventh film in the Despicable Me universe. This time, the Minions decide they want to make their own movie, which leads to magical mix ups, unexpected creatures and a whole lot of ‘uh oh’ moments. It’s classic Minion chaos!

the first to dive head-first into trouble if it means protecting his friends. convinced first to dream big. Not just regular big, we’re talking Hollywood big. They want to make a monster movie that will blow everyone’s socks off. So Kevin, Stuart, Bob and the rest of the crew set out to find real monsters to star in their movie. Along the way, they cross paths with a powerful film director, a mysterious studio executive and crazy new creatures who are way more dramatic than anything they expected. As the Minions try to keep their movie from falling apart, they accidentally unleash chaos that threatens the whole production. With new friends, new enemies and of course, new monsters, the Minions must pull off the biggest save-the-day moment of their careers… and maybe even finish their movie on time.
Kevin is the tall, responsible ‘big brother’ of the Minions… or at least, he tries to be. Kevin is brave, determined and always convinced he can keep everyone on track - even when the others are running in circles, screaming, or chasing snacks. He’s the planner of the group, but he’s also
Stuart
Stuart is the cool, one-eyed Minion with major rock star energy. He’s confident, funny and always ready to strike a pose - especially when he’s supposed to be working. He’s the Minion most likely to improvise, get distracted, or accidentally unleash something spooky, but he’s also surprisingly clever when it counts. Stuart brings the attitude, the eye rolls and the ‘I’ve got this’ confidence that makes every scene funnier.
Bob
Bob is the smallest Minion with the biggest heart. He’s sweet, excitable and constantly amazed by literally everything. He’s brave in a totally different way: he’ll walk right up to a giant monster and offer it a hug. Bob’s innocence and optimism often save the day, even when he doesn’t realise he’s doing it.
The Minions (all of them!)
Voiced once again by Pierre Coffin, the Minions speak their iconic Minionese language and deliver the LOLs we love. Their goal in this flick? Make the greatest monster movie ever… but at what cost?

Addison Rae is one of the internet’s biggest success stories - and she’s still shining brighter every year! While she first hit the big time as an influencer on TikTok, she isn’t just a social media star anymore - she’s also a singer, actress and mega pop star.
Who is Addison Rae?
Addison Rae Easterling first became famous on TikTok by posting dance videos. Millions of people loved her energy and style, and she quickly became one of the most-followed creators on the app. But instead of stopping there, Addison decided to chase even bigger dreams. “I’m very ambitious in general,” she reveals, “I love chasing big dreams, and if that comes in the form of an amazing script or a director that I really love and trust, I’m 10 toes deep.” Soon, she started acting in movies and releasing music. Her songs like HeadphonesFameIsaGunhelped her grow into a real pop star with a unique sound and message.

Her music often talks about feelings, confidence and what it’s like growing up in the spotlight. Last year Addison released her first-ever album titled Addison, but before she makes music, she has a unique approach to getting ideas for songs. She says of her album, “I’m a very visual person, so everything was mapped out: colours, themes, how I wanted to translate them into a project. I made a binder. I printed out photos and colours and words. Before the album had any sonic world, before there was any audio involved, it was just purely visions, visuals, words.” The album included fun, catchy tracks fans loved, like High Fashion and Money Is Everything which showed off her playful personality and cool-girl style.
a
grabbed the music news headlines, Addison Rae was also there! Her performance also got lots of attention because it was energetic, creative and full of surprises. She brought out dancer Maddie Ziegler for a special moment on stage, and jumped into the crowd to connect with fans, but surprised everyone by bringing out Olivia Rodrigo during her set! Together, they performed and even debuted a brand-new song live, which made the crowd go wild.
Addison has also been making waves in the music world. She was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards, which shows how far she’s come from her TikTok beginnings. She even performed at the Grammys, proving she belongs on the biggest stages. She’s also been touring and connecting with fans around the world, including stops in Australia. “The magic really happens when you start creating purely for “People connect she says. with it so much more, because there’s something genuine to discover. "I definitely had a lot of fears before [the EP] came out. When I’m in the writing room, I feel super unfiltered and don’t really have worries or anxieties about being honest in my music," she "I do feel like that’s a very normal fear, and one I’ve had throughout my whole career. But the biggest payoffs come when you allow yourself to be vulnerable in songs."
The path from a hobby singer to breakout artist started early for Freya. "I developed a love of singing after getting a karaoke machine when I was five," she says. That early spark led to years of songwriting, performing and never giving up on her dreams!

What we love about Freya is she’s not afraid to experiment and change things up. Over her career she’s played with new sounds and styles. Freya’s music grows with her, and fans love watching her level up.
EVERYONE’S WATCHING
Freya talks openly about nerves, pressure, and juggling schoolwork with stardom.
Freya loves all parts of performing, but she’s honest about where her heart truly lies. Singing and acting are her top two passions and the places where she feels most herself. "I hate to put dancing out, but it’s definitely between acting and singing," she reveals. While dancing is fun for her, it’s the music and storytelling that make her feel unstoppable.
"Balancing school is a lot… going from a big fight sequence to algebra is one of the most difficult things." One minute she’s filming an intense scene or rehearsing vocals, and the next she’s back at a desk doing maths homework, wow!
Freya says after her tour, her next major goal is recording her debut album. "Having my debut album come out will feel like a really huge moment. I’m excited to have time to work on that, and continuing to tour is going to be so much fun. I have many more tour dates coming up this year, which I’m very excited about."
Representing the UK on a global stage? Iconic. Freya represented the United Kingdom during the 2022 Junior Eurovision competition, and she handled it with total bravery and like a real pro! "I feel like I learned a lot when I did Junior Eurovision, definitely a lot of resilience. As a person, Eurovision really shaped me and gave me great techniques for dealing with nerves and public perception," she says.

Delicious Milo lava cookies
What you need
« 140 g unsalted butter, softened
« ½ cup brown sugar
« 2 tbsp white sugar
« 1 egg and 1 egg yolk
« ¾ cup Milo
« 1 cup + 2 tbsp plain flour
« 1 tbsp cocoa powder
« ½ tsp baking soda
Makes 8-9
« Pinch of salt
« 8 large chocolate chunks or squares (freeze them before use for the best lava effect).
« an electric mixer
« a whisk
« an ice cream scoop or spoon
« a lined baking tray.
1 CREAM BUTTER AND SUGARS
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and white sugar for 2 to 3 minutes until pale and fluffy. This step builds a good cookie structure, so don’t rush it!
2
ADD THE OTHER INGREDIENTS
Mix in the egg and extra egg yolk until your cookie dough is nice and smooth. Then, stir in the Milo until it’s fully mixed in.
3 FORM THE DOUGH
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Then, slowly pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. You should get a thick,
4 STUFF THE COOKIES
Scoop portions of dough using an ice cream scoop or spoon and put them onto a lined baking tray, then gently flatten each ball in your hand. Place a frozen chocolate chunk in the middle of the ball and carefully wrap the dough around it, making sure the chocolate is fully covered and the edges are sealed completely, so it doesn’t leak out when baking.
5 CHILL OUT
Pop your dough balls in the fridge for around 20 to 30 minutes. This is an important step because it keeps them thick and stops them from spreading out too much when they’re in the oven.
6
BAKE THE COOKIES
Bake the cookies at 180°C (160°C fan) for 10 to 12 minutes. They’re ready when the edges are set but the centres still look soft and slightly underbaked, which helps create that gooey lava texture. Yum! Get an adult to help you put them in and remove them from the oven.
Pro tips to know:
• For the best lava effect, slightly underbake the cookies so the centres stay soft and gooey.
• Use larger chocolate pieces rather than small chips, as they melt into a more dramatic molten centre.
• If you like a bakery-style finish, you can sprinkle a pinch of flaky salt on top before baking.
• Once out of the oven, let the cookies rest for about 5 minutes so the centre thickens slightly while still staying rich and gooey.

With the FIFA World Cup upon us, we couldn’t help but get swept up in the world of soccer!
GOAL!
Soccer - or football as some of the world calls it - is the most popular sport on the planet for a reason. It’s fast, it’s fun and all you really need is a ball and a bit of space. Whether you’re looking to join a local club or just want to join in the games at lunchtime, here’s everything you need to know to hit the pitch with confidence.
K KNOWPOSITIONYOUR
Every player on the field has a specific job to do. Where do you see yourself playing?
Goalkeeper: The only player allowed to use their hands (inside the big rectangular "box"). Your job is to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
The basic rules
The rules of soccer are pretty simple, which is why it's so easy to love. Two teams of 11 players (though younger teams often play with seven or nine players) try to kick the ball into the other team’s goal. The number one rule is you can’t use your hands! Unless you are the goalkeeper, touching the ball with your hands or arms is a "handball" and results in the ball being given to the opposition team. You can use your feet, chest, knees or even your head to move the ball. Matches are usually split into two halves and the team with the most goals at the end wins.
Defenders: You stay back to protect your goalie and stop the other team’s attackers from getting close.
Midfielders: These players run the most! They play in the middle of the field, helping the defenders win the ball and passing it up to the attackers to score.
Forwards/Strikers: Your main job is to stay near the opponent’s goal and score! You need to be quick and ready to shoot.
OMTG!
The fastest goal ever scored in a pro match only took 2.4 seconds!
3 skills to master
You don't need to be a pro on day one. Focus on these three basics to build a solid foundation:
HOW TO GET
You’ll need a pair of boots for grip on the grass and shin guards. These are super important to protect your legs from accidental kicks! Look for local clubs in your area and head along to an open day... or simply sign up!
1. Dribbling. This is moving with the ball while keeping it close to your feet. Try using the inside and outside of your foot. A good tip? Look up sometimes so you don't run into a defender!
2. Passing. Use the inside part of your foot for the best accuracy. Aim for your teammate’s feet so they can control the ball easily.
3. The ‘First Touch’. This is how you get the ball from another player. Instead of letting the ball bounce off you, try to cushion it with your foot so it stays right in front of you, ready for your next move.
W P Y?
H WHY PLAY?
Beyond the goals and the trophies, soccer is about making friends, building confidence, and learning how to work as a team. Every training session teaches you something new — how to pass smarter, run faster, or communicate better with the people around you. It builds your fitness, improves your coordination, and helps you stay focused even when the game gets tough. It’s also just really fun! Whether you’re scoring the winning goal or cheering from the sidelines, soccer gives you that buzzing, excited feeling that makes you want to come back again and again!

I was at my school dance with my friends and we were all having a great time. My friend dared me to dance in the middle of the school hall. Trying to show off, I walked to the centre and just as I was about to start dancing, I did a spin and slipped, falling straight onto my bum! Nearly everyone saw it and there was nowhere to hide, so I just laughed along with everyone, but it actually really hurt!

I had to run and find her, and it turns out she had forgotten she even asked me to line up! I was so embarrassed!
Olivia Rodrigo had a scary and embarrassing onstage moment during her GUTS World Tour show in Melbourne when she accidentally fell through an open trap door while running across the stage. She quickly recovered and told the crowd she was okay, even joking, “Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage!” Luckily she wasn’t hurt and she carried on with the show.

I was at my friend’s house the morning after a sleepover. I asked if I could call my mum to come and pick me up earlier than we had planned because I wasn’t feeling well. When my friend’s mum gave me her phone, I dialled the number saved under “Mum” instead of my mum’s name, so I ended up calling my friend’s grandmother! Everyone thought it was funny, and so did I.

Burst Squishy
I was at school assembly and got my squishy out of my pocket. I was squeezing it when it suddenly popped and all the gooey stuff inside squirted out onto me and the person next to me. I got into so much trouble.
