IN-VEHICLE LOO

A CHINESE CAR COMPANY HAS SUCCESSFULLY FILED A PATENT FOR A VOICE-ACTIVATED “IN VEHICLE TOILET” THAT SLIDES OUT FROM UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT.

The patent application was submitted by Chongqing-based automaker Seres in April 2025, however, it was only o icially authorised earlier this year. The filing states that the vehicle lavatory is designed to “satisfy users’ toilet needs on long journeys, while camping, or while staying in the car.” Product features include a waste storage tank, a rotating heating element that evaporates urine and dries solid waste, and an exhaust fan to control odour. Seres is not the first company to explore car toilet concepts with competitor, Polestone, previously releasing a folding toilet seat that can be stored in the centre console and removed for use with plastic bags.

A 23-year-old has earned a Guinness World Record for the fastest time to solve a rotating puzzle cube while in freefall. Tom Kopke, from Germany, jumped out of a plane over Mossel Bay, South Africa, and solved a Rubik’s Cube in 23.333 seconds before opening his parachute. Kopke began solving Rubik’s Cubes at age 18 and said, “I have a lot more crazy skydiving videos planned, and I thought it would be really cool to start this journey with a clear goal in mind, which was to break the record.” The previous record was set in 2023 by Australian Sam Sieracki with a time of 28.25 seconds. Kopke added that he “practiced a lot with the cube in the air so I got used to it. The most dangerous part is actually the handover, kind of like in track and field where a lot of mistakes happen during the baton exchange.”

SUPERSIZED SEA LION

Earlier this year, San Francisco welcomed visitors hoping to catch a glimpse of a massive Steller sea lion nicknamed Chonkers. Spotted lounging among much smaller California sea lions at Pier 39, Chonkers has been described as “very mellow” by harbor master Sheila Chandler. Steller sea lions can grow over three metres long and weigh over a tonne - twice the size of California sea lions. Chandler explained the Steller sea lion’s large size is because they “dive deep and swim in much colder waters… So, they need all that blubber.” It is believed the supersized sea lion travelled from waters o Washington or Oregon and has been seen trying to snuggle with smaller sea lions for warmth. Visitor Oluwaseyi Akinbobola described Chonkers as “like a Volkswagen! He’s so huge!”

REMARKABLY OLD RABBIT

CURIOUS COLOURED CRUSTACEAN

A British couple has been recognised for owning the world’s oldest rabbit, aged 15 years and 82 days. Herbie, a lionhead rabbit belonging to Richard and Melissa Dunham, was adopted at eight weeks old as a companion for their female rabbit, Flopsy. Melissa said, “Flopsy loved him and they bonded quickly and were devoted to each other for 10 years.” Herbie’s age was verified in November last year, but has only recently been confirmed as the ‘oldest rabbit in the world’ by Guinness World Records. Now more than double his life expectancy, Herbie still has a big personality and enjoys snuggling on the couch and spending time in the garden. Melissa added, “Herbie has always been very strong willed and full of character.”

PING-PONG POWERBOT

A robot named Ace has become so skilled at table tennis that it has defeated elite human players. Built by Japanese electronics company Sony, Ace faced professional human athletes at the company’s headquarters in Tokyo. The paddle-wielding powerbot has nine camera eyes and eight joints, and allegedly learned the sport using reinforcement learning. Sony AI researcher Peter Dürr explained, “There’s no way to program a robot by hand to play table tennis. You have to learn how to play from experience.” To encourage fair competition, Ace’s speed, reach, and skill were calibrated to match an athlete who trains at least 20 hours a week. Sony said the experiment marks the first time a robot has achieved human expert-level performance in a widely played physical sport, and described it as “a longstanding milestone for AI and robotics research.”

A fishing boat o Cape Cod has caught an extremely rare split-coloured lobster, considered a one-in-50-million find. The Wellfleet Shellfish Company reported that the fishing vessel Timothy Michael discovered the crustacean, which is brown on one side and bright orange on the other, with the colour split running from head to tail. The lobster has since been donated to the Woods Hole Science Aquarium in Falmouth, Massachusetts, for display to the public once renovations are complete. Wellfleet stated, “Split lobsters like this are extraordinarily rare - caused by unique genetic variations that create their striking half-and-half colouring.” American lobsters can experience colour mutations resulting in blue, orange, spotted calico, and even bright-coloured “cotton candy” varieties, but the split-coloured lobster is the rarest of all.

EMERGENCY EAGLET EXTRACTION

A two week old bald eagle has been reunited with its family after undergoing surgery to remove a fish hook from its stomach. Viewers watching a livestream reported the tiny eaglet swallowing the hook, prompting a rescue. The Tamarack Wildlife Centre, an educational partner for the U.S. Steel and Glen Hazel eagle webcams, hired an arborist to safely retrieve the animal from the nest. The baby bird was taken to the Avian Conservation Centre of Appalachia, where the director of veterinary medicine, Jesse Fallon, led the treatment. Fallon confirmed the hook was too deep to remove via endoscopy, making surgery the only option. After ten days of recovery and supervision, the eaglet was returned to its nest next to its sleeping siblings. The Centre believe, “his parents will accept him and resume caring for him like nothing happened.”

DINOSAUR DRESS-UP

The University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, has secured a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs. Hosted outside the Taylor Family Digital Library, a total of 682 people attended the event during the university’s 60th anniversary celebration. The dinosaur dress-up smashed the previous record of 468 people set in Florida last year. University president and vice-chancellor Ed McCauley declared, “The old record is extinct… This is just a great example of the University of Calgary and our Calgary community coming together to set a world record.” A Guinness World Records adjudicator was present to o icially verify the achievement.

CHOCOLATE HEAVEN

Chocolate lovers are in for a treat following the announcement of a $150 million Cadbury Chocolate Experience set to open in Claremont, Tasmania in late 2028. The tourist destination will feature attractions including Chocolate Central, the Chocolate Immersion Experience, the Taste Kitchen, and the Premium Chocolate Studio. Visitors will learn about the chocolate-making process, explore interactive exhibits, and sample creations. Simon Currant, a tourism investor in Tasmania overseeing the project, said, “It will be an innovative, immersive and deeply emotive experience that uses storytelling and technology to bring the magic of chocolate-making to life… unlike any chocolate attraction in the world.” The Cadbury Experience is anticipated to attract over 430,000 visitors a year and potentially generate over $120 million annually for the Tasmanian economy.

Yes, EVs are the future but they do have their drawbacks. Because they rely on on lithiumion battery packs, electric vehicles and bikes can have range issues and be sensitive to temperature and flammability.

VERGE TS PRO GAME CHANGER!

Plus, materials like lithium can be rare and costly in the long run! Enter Verge Motorcycles, specifically their spino Donut Lab.

Two years ago they announced they were working on a solid-state EV battery that could change everything! Forward to January this year and they announced they’ve beat everyone to market with a production model rolling out soon! The core idea behind the solidstate battery is that if

you swap the liquid or gel in standard lithiumion cells for a solid material, you get something safer, with more energy, and longer-lasting! Big hitters like Toyota and Samsung have been chasing solid-state development too, without a production vehicle to show for it though! Verge built the TS Pro around one central idea: what if an electric motorcycle was designed aesthetically for electricity? The motor sits where the rear axle would be, freeing up room for a larger

battery. There is also the hubless rear wheel in-wheel motor, a chainless drivetrain, lower centre of gravity, and 120 less parts than a standard setup!

The battery is rated at 400 Wh/kg of energy density, operates between -30°C to 100°C without e ecting performance or health, and is built from abundant materials rather than rare ones. The team at Verge/Donut claim a full charge in five minutes. Industry experts are skeptical but the proof will be seen once production models roll out!

The battery isn’t the only upgrade, the new Donut Motor 2.0 is 50% lighter than the previous gen while delivering 100 kW peak power and 737 lb-ft of torque through the hubless rear wheel! The result is a 0-100 km/h time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h!

On-board, Verge’s Starmatter HMI brings everything together with four ride modes (Range, Zen, Beast, and Custom), plus anytime update capability!

The Standard kit includes Brembo brakes and Ohlins/ Wilbers suspension, and starts at approx $40,000 for the standard battery configuration, with the extended-range pack yours for approx $48,000. Deliveries are expected at the end of the year, when we will all witness these revolutionary rides on the streets!

From yellow giant objects to spooky ghost towns, jaw- dropping nature and human heroes, the 2026 edition of Guinness World Records brings you the brightest, biggest and loudest record- breaking. Bursting with new records including your favourite pop culture icons, sports superstars, amazing animals and special superlatives... plus plenty of tips to tackle YOUR next big challenge!

THE LATEST AND GREATEST IN VIDEO GAMING

Fans of Roblox will know its sidegame experience 99 Nights in the Forest, which we can confirm is being turned into a movie.

Splatoon Raiders (Switch 2) has locked in a July 22 release date, spinning-o the ink-based shooters series for the first time.

Also, Microsoft is closing its Microsoft Gaming label completely. From now on, all games from the company will release under the brand of Xbox.

The Call of Duty movie has a date, and we can expect to see it in cinemas on June 30, 2028so quite a wait!

While many games are being turned into movies, there’s also movies about gaming. Possibly the most popular is the Jumanji series and a new film has been confirmed. Called Jumanji: Open World, it sees Jumanji game characters sucked into the real world and causing chaos at Christmas.

Microsoft is dropping the price of its Game Pass Ultimate subscription by $10/month to $25.95, which is awesome. Unfortunately, Call of Duty games will now be delayed a year before they arrive on the service.

Captain Majima from the Yakuza series has landed in Sonic Racing: CrossWorld as free DLC. He also has a vehicle called the Goromaru.

Christopher McQuarrie will direct and Michael B. Jordan will star in a movie adaptation to popular FPS series Battlefield.

Beloved strategy series XCOM is getting a new tabletop game.

Some very cool collaborations have been coming to PowerWash Simulator 2. One based on Adventure Time has just landed, while another based on the original Star Wars film trilogy is expected sometime this Winter. Yes, you will be able to clean an X-Wing and the dust from places like Tatooine.

The Arty Facts DLC for Two Point Museum is an art themed pack that has just dropped. It adds a fresh location, art experts, interactive exhibits and a full studio for creating original artworks.

LEGO MAKE A CONSOLE… ALMOST

Get your bricks ready, because Lego and Sega just dropped the ultimate nostalgia bomb! The brand new LEGO Sega Genesis Console set lets you build your very own retro game machine out of blocks. You can give it a Genesis look, or Mega Drive look, which is what the console was called when it was released Australia-wide in 1990. It comes complete with controllers, stickers and a pop out game card. It’s a 479 piece blast from the past for $69.99.

The roster for Invincible VS keeps growing, with two more characters added to the fun. This time it’s Allen the Alien and fan-favourite Conquest.

You’re probably too young to play the Assassin’s Creed series, but we do know you like pirate games. So, word that a remake of the series’ only pirate-themed entry from 2013 is coming is still exciting. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced (XSX, PC, PS5) is out July 9.

Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot was supposed to be coming to Xbox consoles, but that idea has been scrapped. It is being removed from Windows phones, too.

The King Dedede (and Tank Star) amiibo figurine tied to racer Kirby Air Riders will go on sale July 2. It will be joined by Sword Kirby (and Dragoon) and Noir Dedede (and Hydra) amiibo, too.

The highly anticipated remake Halo: Combat Evolved may not have even released yet, but already it’s heavily rumoured that the next two games in the original trilogy are set to follow. We’re also told that a brand new Halo 7 game is in the works, too.

SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE

The biggest movie of the year has landed, but was it any good? The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is a super-bright, super-fast adventure packed with action, jokes and tonnes of your favourite characters. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi and even Rosalina zip across colourful planets, fight Bowser Jr. and blast through scenes that look just like the games. There’s always something exciting happening, and the music and animation are awesome. We do wish there was a bit more substance to the story, but it doesn’t stop the experience from being fun, loud and full of surprises. This sequel may not have found a power-up, but it doesn’t slip on a banana peel either.

Fans of stealth gaming should consider Thick as Thieves this month, which is releasing for only $10 or so on PC.

Popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is making the leap to Switch 2 in the future. We’re not exactly sure when, but it could be to coincide with the next big expansion called Evercold, which has just been announced for January 2027.

Popular indie publisher Annapurna Interactive is also bringing five of its games to Switch 2. Rhythm title Sayonara Wild Hearts, puzzler Lorelei and the Laser Eyes and epic cat adventure Stray are all out now. Whereas To a T and Wanderstop will land in June.

Four years ago, legendary developer Quantic Dream announced the actionadventure game Star Wars Eclipse and… well, sadly… and nothing. Apparently, the game is still years away from release. Boo!

Cute indie JRPG Sea of Stars has just made the leap across to iOS and Android devices.

The latest fighter to join the roster of Tekken 8 is legendary ninja Kunimitsu. Nintendo has decided that Switch 2 games in physical form should cost more – around $15 – than their digital versions moving forward.

Another one of our favourite indie games is getting a Switch 2 port. It’s the 2022 puzzleadventure game Tunic.

By the time you read this, a classic pointand-click mystery game from 1993 will have launched with modern improvements. The 7th Guest Remake is on PS5, XSX, Switch and PC.

QUEST FOR MORE MONEY

Our favourite VR headset has just received a price increase. Due to war and other issues facing the world right now, production costs are increasing and sadly, Meta Quest has not been spared. The new prices in Australia are now…

● Meta Quest 3S (128GB) = $569

● Meta Quest 3S (256GB) = $729

● Meta Quest 3 = $969

In better news, at least some good games are on the way. This includes the four-player co-op heist action of Payday: Aces High, the fact-paced roguelite co-op FPS Roboquest VR, the beat ’em up TMNT: Empire City and the physicsbased tactical sci-fi shooter Soul Protocol.

Another one of our favourite indie games is getting a Switch 2 port; the fantastic Kena: Bridge of Spirits sometime this autumn.

ROBLOX NEW REALITY

ROBLOX HAS A NEW EXPERIENCE ON THE WAY THAT IS GOING TO TAKE YOUR INVENTIONS OUT OF THE CARTOON WORLD AND INTO REALITY.

Roblox just revealed something huge and it might totally change the way your favourite game looks and feels. It’s called Roblox Reality, and it’s a brand-new AI-powered system that helps even beginner creators build games that look photorealistic. Yep, as in “so real your brain can’t tell if it’s actually a game.”

Right now, making super-realistic multiplayer games is something only giant studios with huge budgets can do. There’s been some experimentation recently with AI using lots of video examples to create video models for games. These can make amazing visuals, but these systems can’t handle gaming things like physics, or lots of players running around at once.

Roblox Reality fixes that by combining two powerful bits of tech: the Roblox Game Engine (which handles the logic, physics and multiplayer stu ) and a new Video World Model (which adds the super-realistic visuals from various real videos on top).

Think of it like this: The Game Engine is the “brains” that keeps the world fair, consistent and fun. The Video Model is the “artist” that paints all the tiny details, like dust clouds, shiny puddles, sparks, leaves blowing in the wind and raindrops sliding down your car window.

Together, they make worlds that look real, but still play like proper Roblox games.

EARLY DEMOS

DID YOUKNOW RobloxRealitywillrun at2Kresolutionand60 frames-per-second.

Roblox has shown early demos using games like Grow a Garden and Summon Heroes, and the di erence is wild. If you compare these images, you can see what a significant di erence it makes. Roblox says an early version of Roblox Reality will arrive late this year or early next year.

This technology could let anyone - even a kid with a cool idea - build multiplayer games in Roblox that look like real life, without needing expensive hardware or years of training. When it launches, it will all unfold in the existing Roblox Studio and app – just toggle it on as an upgrade if you wish. Start thinking up your ideas!

The show’s star was Denshattack (Switch 2, June 17): imagine Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but as a Japanese train. You grind, flip and fight across high-speed rail lines, and Switch 2 players even score an exclusive train skin.

Next came Heave Ho 2, swinging onto Switch 1/2 this Winter. It’s pure co-op chaos: up to four players grab, stretch and fling each other through eight worlds of physics-powered platforming. It even supports Game Share, so your mates can join without owning the game.

Dungeon-crawling fans got a big one with Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault arriving on Switch 2 this Winter. It expands the original’s shopkeeping-meets-combat formula with bigger biomes, deeper fighting systems and a more complex merchant loop.

For something calmer, Woodo launches this Winter on Switch 1/2. You assemble wooden diorama scenes piece by piece, watching them spring to life with colour and animation.

The Switch 2 is quickly becoming the home of great indie games and the latest showcase was packed with wild physics, weird worlds and wonderful surprises.

Switch 2 even supports mouse controls for extra precision.

The showcase also highlighted Blighted, coming this Spring. From the creators of Guacamelee, this psychedelic western action-RPG sends you through surreal cursed landscapes to reclaim your peoples’ memories.

The big shadow-drop was Rotwood, a stylish 2.5D brawler from the Don’t Starve creators. It’s out now as a Switch 2 console exclusive. It’s all about co-op monster-smashing, loot-grinding and mastering deep combat systems.

You can also dive into Minishoot Adventures, which just hit Switch 1/2. It’s a twin stick shooter mashed with a Zelda style overworld, full of secrets, upgrades and chunky boss fights.

If you want something tougher, Deadzone: Rogue is an excellent first person sci fi roguelite where you fight, revive and adapt through endless alien corridors. Every run is di erent and every mistake hurts. On the softer side, My Little Puppy lands in June with a surprisingly emotional twist: you play as a corgi searching the afterlife for his owner. Whether you want chaos, chill vibes or monster-punching mayhem, Nintendo’s indie lineup for mid-2026 is absolutely stacked!

ARE

SOME GREAT GAMES COMING YOUR WAY SOON!

PS5, XSX

If you love combat sports, the bare knuckles and swift kicks of UFC are returning to gaming this June. It’s all about making every fighter move and hit like they do in real life. Alex Pereira stars on the Standard Edition cover, while legend Max Holloway fronts the Ultimate Edition. Fighters now have unique movements, signature strikes and super realistic physics thanks to markerless motion capture and new rag doll tech. Plus, new modes like Hall of Legends and The Legacy let you relive history or create your own octagon story.

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3

PS5, XSX,

Dragon Ball fans, get hyped! The mystery “Age 1000” game we’d heard of has been o icially revealed as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, and it’s coming next year. The first trailer shows a brand-new hero exploring a futuristic city, transforming into a Great Saiyaman-style suit, while teaming up with another new character, this one with white hair. We’re told you’ll create your own hero in a whole new Toriyama-designed world, but we did spot some familiar faces like Bulma, Gamma 2 and Piccoloo.

Soulframe is a brand-new fantasy MMO from the creators of Warframe all about saving a magical world instead of wrecking it. You explore forests, rescue giant Omen Beasts and fight o an alien race trying to drain the planet Alca. The game focuses on nature, kindness, and community, with players helping shape the world together. Despite its real-time combat mixing melee, magic and ranged attacks, it hopes to embrace peaceful exploration, too. An adventure built to feel like a hopeful escape.

FOR THE STARS

This third-person, massive open universe survival adventure game looks so cool. You explore diverse planets, study alien ruins, tame dangerous biomes and build huge automated bases with pipes, drones, conveyors and factories. Gathering rare resources allows you to design custom spacecraft, battle hostile creatures and shape living ecosystems where every choice has consequences. We love that you can team up with friends in a persistent multiplayer galaxy to forge alliances, expand outposts and leave your mark among the stars.

Vaunted rockets in like a chaos-blasted space western where nothing is safe, everything is shiny, and treasure hunters solve problems with explosions first and questions never. Made by ex-StarCraft and Guild Wars developers, this tactical RPG mashes real-time blaster action with turn-based strategy, letting you command the gloriously dysfunctional trio of Dyse, Gendril and Kyvaath. Expect skill trees, random upgrades, custom loadouts, companions and even unreliable narration that rewrites chapters when heroes die. Looks messy but perfect, like our bedroom!

Solarpunk lets you ditch the ground and build the ultimate sky base on floating islands powered by sunlight, wind and pure genius. Team up with your mates in 4-player co-op to farm, craft gadgets and automate just about everything. Plus, you’ll need to design an airship that screams “sky pirate energy,” to help you get around. Explore chill cloud islands, hoard resources, paint your base neon-awesome and live your best eco-tech life. No monsters, no stress: just sky-high creativity and chaos with friends.

SOME OF THE BEST GAMES OF THE YEAR HAVE COME OUT LAST!

Get ready to smash, spin and serve chaos in this new sports game starting the cast of Nickelodeon. It feels like someone crammed every Nickelodeon show into a tennis ball and smashed it straight at your face… in the best possible way. After playing a few matches, the first thing you notice is how cool the characters are. SpongeBob, Aang, Garfield, Ninja Turtles and more zip around the court with their own special ultimate abilities that can flip a match in seconds. It’s chaotic and silly, as you’d expect. Customising your character is half the fun, with over 500 outfits and

GRAND SLAM

NBA THE RUN NICKELODEON EXTREME TENNIS: NEXT!

Finally! We’ve been longing for a game that takes the legendary spirit of the great NBA Street series and gives it a modern makeover. The second you enter a multiplayer match in this stylised, arcade basketball game, things get frantic. The fast, 3v3 action gives 32 NBA superstars superpowers. Steph Curry fires threes like he’s got a cheat code, Giannis bulldozes the paint and Wembanyama is basically a moving skyscraper - blocking everything, dunking everything, and somehow still hitting threes. What makes it wilder is the random rulesets.

GAMESTA HEAT:

SLAM DUNK

Mode gives you something to chew through solo, but the real magic is local split screen. What could be better than smacking a flaming tennis ball at a friend? Elsewhere you’ll find minigames and the controls are built to be simple and easy. It’s not the deepest sports game and the visuals are quite basic, but fans will still have fun.

PS5, XSX, PC, SWITCH DID

One game gives bonus points for dunks, the next rewards threes, and sometimes you’re racing the clock like you’re trying to beat the microwave before it beeps. It keeps every match fresh, and if you lose, you’re instantly tossed back into another Knockout Tournament

PS5, XSX, PC

– like Fortnite quick restarts. The game looks great. Every player is handcrafted with unique animations and personality. Plus, you can squad up with friends if you’re not up for the chaos of controlling three players yourself. If you love basketball, this game absolutely slams.

Hot o his appearance in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, legendary Nintendo character Fox McCloud has returned to gaming. This is a remake of the 1997 N64 classic, Star Fox, although it feels like a complete refresh. Fox McCloud and his team must stop the evil scientist Andross from taking over the entire Lylat System. The whole game has been rebuilt with shiny new graphics, fully voiced cutscenes – including new story sequences - and epic orchestral music that makes every mission feel huge. You jump into your Arwing spaceship and blast through the Lylat System, pulling o barrel rolls, somersaults and laser-filled dogfights across planets like Corneria, Zoness, Fichina and Sector Y. Campaign Mode lets you

SWITCH 2

Mode is bigger too, with 4-vs-4 online dogfights where Team Star Fox and Team Star Wolf fight for zones, crystals or stolen cargo. If you love space battles, this one absolutely rockets.

Subnautica 2 dives into a brand-new alien ocean where your mission has gone horribly wrong. Your ship’s AI insists everything is “fine,” but the planet is full of dangerous creatures, weird ruins and mysteries hiding in the deep. To survive, you’ll explore glowing reefs, icy trenches and creepy caves while building your own underwater base, now defining its shape, paint, lights and tonnes more. The biggest change is four-player co-op, so you can explore, build and panic together. Creatures are smarter now too: they track sound, light and even which player looks easiest to grab. You can also modify your DNA to gain new abilities, plus there is a

new submarine to pilot, called The Tadpole, which is designed for fast escapes. Even with friends, the ocean is still scary: giant Leviathans can drag you into currents that

sweep you into new biomes. But that’s what makes it awesome. With new tools and monsters, plus a new planet with strange biomes, Subnautica 2 rises to the top.

DID YOU KNOW?

The first game from 2018 did get a spin-o title called Subnautica: Below Zero in 2021.

GRAVASTAR MERCURY V60 PRO KEYBOARD

The Gravastar Mercury V60 Pro is a wild looking, wired, mini gaming keyboard that feels like it fell o an alien spaceship. It’s got a super-premium build made from solid aluminium, packed with 16 zones of RGB lights and using magnetic Hall e ect switches that make every key press fast, smooth and crazy customisable. It sounds great and barely moves on your desk. But it’s tiny, missing keys some people rely on, and it does cost a bit. So, perfect for gamers who want style and speed, but overkill for homework and watching YouTube.

DJI POCKET 4

The DJI Pocket 3 is already the best vlogging camera going around, so does this follow-up get even better? It does deliver super smooth 4K video, even when you’re running around. The new 1 inch sensor makes low light shots look cleaner, and the upgraded slow motion mode hits a crazy 4K/240fps. It’s got a brighter screen, better tracking, faster charging and a huge 107GB of built in storage. It does get warm under stress and it’s not robust enough to be used underwater or in action sports, but it’s still an awesome pocket sized upgrade.

STEAM CONTROLLER

Ten years after Valve tried to bridge the PC-console gap with the Steam Controller, the device has received an upgrade. It’s better in almost every way! Comfy, light and the drift proof sticks feel great. The big touchpads give you a mouse-like control experience, so playing PC games from the couch is a lot easier. The magnetic charger is fun to snap on and the battery lasts ages. But it only works properly with Steam, the Bluetooth setup is fiddly, and it’s still a little awkward to get used to compared to a normal Gamepad.

The GoPro Mission 1 Pro is the biggest upgrade GoPro has ever made. It keeps the tiny, rugged GoPro shape but packs in a huge 1-inch sensor that finally delivers real cinema-quality video. You get 8K footage, super-clean low-light shots and wild slow-motion up to 960fps. The new GP3 processor makes everything faster, cooler and smarter, with auto face-tracking and underwater colour fixes. Battery life is phenomenal, too. It’s basically a pocket-sized cinema camera that can handle everything you can throw at it, above or below the water.

GOPRO MISSION 1 PRO

NIGHTHAWK 5G M7 MOBILE WI-FI ROUTER

Want to game on the go without having to hotspot o your dad’s phone? The Netgear Nighthawk M7 is a tiny 5G hotspot that gives you fast, reliable Wi Fi wherever you go. It works with both normal SIM cards and eSIMs, so you can easily run it o local data in over 140 countries. It’s easy to set up, lasts all day on battery, and can connect 32 devices at once. Speeds are great in strong 5G areas, and it instantly switches to local Wi-Fi when in range to save data. It won’t save you in areas with no reception, however.

TURTLE BEACH REMATCH WIRELESS CONTROLLERS

Three new versions of the Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless controllers have landed for Switch 2 and they look epic thanks to awesome designs are very cool RGB lighting. They are Koopa Troopa, Rosalina and Mario Kart World themed. They’re comfy to hold, too, with smooth sticks that use durable TMR tech. The motion controls work a treat, and the 40 hour battery life is a huge win. The two back buttons are handy in fast games, too. But it’s not quite Pro grade, with sti triggers and no rumble, but perfectly fine, and gorgeous, for most gamers.

WHO IS DANHAUSEN?

Danhausen bills himself as a ‘very nice, very evil’ character who comes from 1311 Mockingbird Lane (yes, the fictional address from The Munsters). He blends goofy humour with a spooky, cartoon-like villainy.

KRASH: What do you want from WWE management?

Danhausen: They should give me championships and more money and I need my face on the side of the trucks, a personal assistant and my own reality TV show or a cartoon. Plus, I hear about this Money in the Bank suitcase, which I presume is full of cash. I want that so I can go spend it on things like PT Cruisers because they’re fast like a Corvette. I would like an action figure too!

KRASH: Who would you like to team up with in WWE?

Danhausen: I’d like to team up with Roddy Piper or Stone Cold Steve Austin versus Danhausen in a ‘hair versus hair’ match. I’ll make him balder and shave his goatee too. Maybe Rock, ‘the Dwyane’ Johnson. I could beat him I think and do the People’s Elbow. But I’ll curse him first – we’ll do the pose first and then the elbow. Who else? CM Punk, WWE NEWCOMER DANHAUSEN

I could beat him and take back my finishing manoeuvre. An inferno match or a co in match would be good. Yes, Danhausen the Powerhouse versus Andre the Giant in a Hell in a Cell Inferno match!

KRASH: When do you think we’ll get to see Danhausen in the ring on RAW or SmackDown?

Danhausen: I hope soon. So far, I’m just going through cursing some foes, trying to make some friends, and possibly setting up some matches so I can win. That would give me more chance of getting my face on a truck. If I get my picture on a truck, people will take a picture and Google me.

KRASH: Where else would you like to see your face?

Danhausen: On The Sphere in Las Vegas, and also in Times Square, on the pyramids, Mount Everest, and on New York subway trains.

KRASH: What about on a private jet?

Danhausen: A giant blimp with my face and name on

DANHAUSEN! LOVE THAT

DANHAUSEN! WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

WHAT MAKES HIM UNIQUE?

Well, he carries jars of teeth around and puts curses on his opponents. His main motivation is collecting ‘monies’. You never quite know where he’ll pop up, but he’s always lurking, ready to steal the show or deliver a curse.

it would be great. And it can go above sports events, such as WrestleMania. And then everyone can see it. A private jet moves too fast, you need to slow it down because it’s an advertisement for yourself. It will help me take over the world. Lots of people have private jets. I would be one of only a few with a blimp!

KRASH: What’s next for you?

Danhausen: Creating a

legion of Fanhausens of Danhausens. I want more people to show up with a Danhausen face in the audience.

KRASH: Some people might say you are a modern-day Undertaker?

Danhausen: I think he’s going to beat you up for saying that but I’ll try to stop him!

Danhausen built a massive following on the independent circuit before WWE, and his character works well on the big stage. He’s the rare wrestler who can make an entire arena laugh and cheer at the same time. His latest storyline has him feuding with The Miz and Kit Wilson, and he’s heading into Backlash needing to find a tag team partner, with rumours suggesting big names like Oba Femi. Despite limited matches, Danhausen was one of the top three merchandise sellers at WrestleMania 42!

CRAZY CRAVINGS

SOME PEOPLE ARE ADDICTED TO CHOCOLATE. OTHERS CRAVE FAR, FAR FREAKIER THINGS...

BLOOD LUST SAUSAGE KING

Thought drinking blood was just for Edward and his Twilight family? Think again. Some modern-day humans admit to drinking it too - a Pennsylvania mum called Julia Caples, for example. Julia admits to drinking nearly two litres of human blood from ‘willing donors’ every month and swears it keeps her looking young. As diets go, we reckon that really ‘sucks’.

British accountant David Harding has spent thousands of dollars trying to kick his sausage habit – without success. He devours up to 13 bangers every day and sought counselling to try and figure out his fixation for snags. The press has quoted him as saying: “Drug addicts crave their medicine of choice, and it’s the same for me except that my drug is a banger.”

WIGGING OUT

Would it surprise you to learn there’s a help group out there for people who can’t get enough of ‘hair carpet’. That’s right, there’s a Wig Addicts Anonymous (WAA). As well as giving each other discounts on wigs, members of WAA celebrate a di erent coloured wig each month and call themselves Wig-aholics.

CAFFEINE HIT

A lot of people need a co ee fix to make it through the day, but not in the way Trina and Mike Elliott from America do. Instead of your usual cappuccino, these guys give themselves co ee enemas - which means they put the co ee up their butt! But wait, they heat it up first and use a Vaseline-coated hose to insert it so the ca eine is absorbed into the bloodstream more quickly than drinking it. Do not try this at home!

Warning: Video Game Addiction can Cause Death. Don’t believe us? Google it and you’ll find out it’s true. Just one example is Chris Staniforth, who was a 20-year-old Xbox addict from England who died suddenly after playing 12 straight hours of video games. Chris died of deep vein thrombosis, a disease usually a ecting those on long plane flights who are sitting with little to no movement. The lack of movement killed Chris, who developed a blood clot in his left that calf that moved to his lungs, creating a deadly blockage.

VIDEO GAME OVERLOAD

CRAZY CAT LADY

If you’re freaked out when a cat licks you, then this is going to bust your gross-ometre. An American woman called Lisa is addicted to licking her cat back, and eating clumps of its hair! On the US TV show My Strange Addiction she admitted to gathering cat fur from around her apartment, including o the floor and from the back of her couch, but she says the best hair are ones ‘right o the cat’.

HAIRY SITUATION

Most people use a hairdryer to, um, dry their hair but for Lori Broady it’s a must-have for falling asleep. Lori says she hasn’t been able to sleep without her hairdryer since she was eight. She started using it to drown out the noise made by her nine siblings and says she finds the sound and heat comforting.

PUPPET PAL

Ventriloquist April Brucker won’t go anywhere without one of her eight puppets. She even broke up with her fiance when he made her choose between him or the puppets. If Kermit the Frog wasn’t already taken by Miss Piggy, April could’ve been his perfect match!

MAYO MOUTH MENTOS DROP

THE SET UP: Grab a tube of toothpaste from the bathroom, screw off the cap and empty it out. Now take a jar of mayonnaise from the fridge and carefully spoon the mayo into the empty toothpaste tube. When you’re finished, put the tube back where you found it in the bathroom. Next morning, the first to clean their teeth will get a mouthful of mayo!

Trick your friends and family with our list of classic pranks.

TOOL KIT: A bottle of Coke, a piece of cotton and a packet of Mentos.

THE PUNISHMENT: While there’s no harm done in this prank, you might catch some strife for wasting perfectly good toothpaste and mayonnaise.

TOOL KIT: A tube of andtoothpaste a jar mayonnaise.of

THE SET UP: We’ve all seen what happens when you drop a Mentos into a bottle of Coke, but this prank takes it stealth. Tie a piece of cotton around a Mentos mint, and unscrew the lid on the bottle of Coke. Hang the mint in the open bottle and place the remaining string over the lip of the bottle. Now screw the cap back onto the bottle so it hides the mint and trim off the left over string. Give the bottle of Coke to your victim. As they unscrew the cap, the mint will drop into the drink and ka’boom!

THE PUNISHMENT: This prank makes a major mess, so do it outside and you should get away with it.

TOOL KIT: A Kinder Surprise, a pin and a squeeze bottle of mustard.

KINDER SURPRISE

WATER TRAP

THE SET UP: Tell your bud that you’ve learnt a cool new trick that you want to show them. Put your hand flat on a table with your palm down and balance a glass of water on the back of your hand. Your bud probably won’t be very impressed, so challenge him to do the same thing but on both hands. With a glass of water balancing on each hand he’ll be trapped as you pretend to walk away laughing!

THE SET UP: Use the pin to carefully create a hole in the bottom of the Kinder Surprise. Now slide the nozzle on the bottle of mustard into the hole and squeeze the mustard into the egg. Carefully smooth the foil wrapper over the hole and offer the mustard-filled Kinder Surprise to your mark. Watch their face as they bite into the chocolate egg only to get a mouthful of mustard!

THE PUNISHMENT: No harm, no foul – but expect the revenge prank to be brutal!

THE PUNISHMENT: Make sure your bud doesn’t spill the water all over your house and you should escape any punishment.

TOOL KIT: Two glasses of water.

THE GREAT GRAPE WRAP

THE SET UP: Carefully unwrap the mini chocolate eggs without tearing the foil wrappers. Smooth out the foil wrappers and grab your bunch of grapes. Wrap each grape in one of the foil wrappers so it looks just like a mini chocolate egg. Put the wrapped grapes back into the chocolate egg packet. Offer one to your bud and they’ll get a fruity surprise!

TOOL KIT: A bunch of grapes and a packet of chocolatemini eggs.

THE PUNISHMENT: No harm is done with this prank so you should get out of it without punishment.

I was in shock so I quickly took o my shorts and started screaming, and then I stopped and noticed that everyone was staring at me!!! It was so shameful.

When I was at school my friend told me to put my leg behind my head so I did and when I did it let out a big fart and my leg was stuck behind my head and my face went red.
