What is the NIA? The Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) is the trade association for the civil nuclear industry in the UK, representing more than 250 companies across the supply chain. For over a decade the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA), the trade association for more than 250 companies across the nuclear supply chain, has released an annual Jobs Map for the UK civil nuclear industry.
The Jobs Map displays clearly the range and diversity of companies across the UK and the number of employees engaged in the civil nuclear industry.
This tool is designed to give Government and decision makers up-to-date and accurate figures, reflecting the significant contribution NIA members and their employees make to the UK economy.
There are over 77,000 jobs across the UK civil nuclear supply chain covering a wide variety of expertise including power station operators, new build vendors and developers, those engaged in decommissioning, waste management, and the nuclear fuel cycle.
