Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Logistics, operations and supply chain management is central to how organisations design, co-ordinate and improve the systems that create sustainable value. The field considers the way organisations plan activities, manage resources, organise processes and connect with suppliers, partners, customers and communities. It provides a systems-based understanding of how decisions made across operations, logistics and supply chains influence cost, quality, service, resilience and long-term performance. Organisations depend on effective operations and supply chain decisions to respond to market uncertainty, manage disruption, improve service delivery and to ensure responsible use of resources. The field therefore connects strategic decision-making with the practical challenges of delivering products and services in complex and changing environments. It also reflects some of the most important developments shaping business today, including sustainability, data-informed decision-making and digital transformation. Through studying our programme you will develop the ability to analyse complex organisational problems, evaluate trade-offs and understand the wider consequences of operational and supply chain decisions. You’ll get a strong foundation for thinking critically and practically about how organisations can operate more effectively, responsibly and sustainably in a changing world.
