UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ADDRESS
Liza Sheehy
Liza Sheehy is graduating with a BA in History, Culture, and Law, with a concentration in Digital Humanities, and a minor in Spanish. A student in the John Martinson Honors Program, she has served as an Honors Program Ambassador and is a member of Northeastern’s Huntington 100 Society of Distinction. Liza has completed co-ops in political campaign consulting at the Blue Lab, client development at Goodwin Procter LLP, and practice management at Boston Consulting Group within the Public Sector Practice Area. She served as a design and research co-leader for the Jewish Migration Project, a public digital archive. After completing her studies in Fall 2025, she has returned full-time to her Goodwin co-op in a client development role.
GRADUATE STUDENT ADDRESS
Bella Wood
Bella Wood is graduating with a Master of Public Administration and has made significant contributions to her academic community as a Women Who Empower Innovator Award Fellow and the Special Projects Coordinator for the 20th Anniversary of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs. Following her graduation Bella will continue to run her company, Ranch Lab, where she advocates for replicating conservation models across the American West, bringing together ranchers, scientists, investors, and young people to work together to solve the critical challenges facing agriculture and communities.
FACULTY SPEAKER
Christopher Bosso
Christopher Bosso is Professor of Public Policy and Political Science at Northeastern University. His areas of research and teaching interest include food politics and policy, environmental policy, and science and technology policy. His books include Why SNAP Works: A Political History -- and Defense -- of the Food Stamp Program (University of California Press 2023); Framing the Farm Bill: Interests, Ideology, and the Agricultural Act of 2014 (University Press of Kansas, 2017) and, as editor, Feeding Cities: Improving Local Food Access, Sustainability, and Resilience (Routledge, 2017). His 2005 book, Environment, Inc.: From Grassroots to Beltway (University Press of Kansas) received the 2006 Caldwell Award for best book in environmental policy and politics from the American Political Science Association. Over his four decades at Northeastern, Professor Bosso also served as founding associate director of the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, chair of the Department of Political Science, and associate dean for faculty affairs for the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
