DEAN
Carmen Sceppa
Sceppa received her medical degree from Francisco Marroquín University in Guatemala City, Guatemala, where she was born and raised. She received her PhD in Nutrition from The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Sceppa brings experience as a clinician, researcher, and educator. She is committed to science, discovery, and education to bridge the gap between research and practice, and this shows in her leadership of the college. Sceppa’s research area in healthy aging focuses on healthspan: how well one lives in good overall health – be it physical, mental, and social. Through this lens, Sceppa aims to transform the way we think about physical activity and exercise, from a personal choice to preventive medicine. The knowledge acquired from Sceppa’s research has informed the development of real-world interventions translated into policy to empower individuals, their families, and communities to lead healthy lives.
STUDENT ADDRESSES
Natalia Sloma
Natalia Sloma enrolled in Northeastern University as an Early Assurance Doctor of Pharmacy student in 2020. During her tenure, she competed as a Division I athlete on the Northeastern Dance Team, volunteered through community service efforts led by the Alliance of Civically Engaged Students, welcomed new and prospective health science students through the Bouvé Student Ambassador’s Program, and pursued various leadership roles throughout all five years of membership in her social sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi.
Most notably, she started her own club on campus - Northeastern’s first leadership organization open to students of all majors and years of study - and served as its inaugural President and Founder, running leadership workshops for fellow student leaders.
Within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Natalia served as a board member for the Pharmacy Leadership Society, Phi Lambda Sigma, as well as the Pharmacy Student Alliance where she received the Operation Diabetes Regional Award in 2025 from the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists, representing pharmacy schools across the Northeast, and has been named a national finalist for her innovative efforts in this role.
She has also peer-tutored across six pharmacy courses and served as a student intern for two clinical skills laboratory courses. Her most impactful role within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has been as a PharmD Class of 2026 Representative, acting as a liaison between students and faculty. Elected and re-elected by her fellow classmates, she has had a direct impact on the success of her peers and the PharmD program overall as she stands as the program’s longest-serving Class Rep.
She has also spent the past three years as a medication reconciliation intern at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, supporting high-risk patients at admission through the pharmacy-led Transitions of Care program.
Following graduation, she will begin her career as a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at Cambridge Health Alliance. Upon completion of her residency, she plans to pursue further training in ambulatory care with a focus in primary care and a commitment to providing better healthcare to non-English speakers and underserved populations.
STUDENT ADDRESSES
Callie Dolan
Callie Dolan began her academic and healthcare journey by earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Endicott College in 2014, where she also competed as a Division III collegiate volleyball athlete and served as the team captain. Before enrolling in Northeastern University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia Program (DNP NA), Callie worked clinically as a surgical ICU RN at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and as a cardiac ICU RN at Massachusetts General Hospital, sparking her ambition to advance her nursing practice. While attending Northeastern, she embraced opportunities to deepen her passion for clinical anesthesia and patient advocacy by serving as the DNP NA 2026 class representative. Callie dedicated her DNP scholarly project to improving perioperative anesthetic care for the transgender community, where her research was chosen for presentation at the 2025 International Forum on Quality & Safety in Healthcare conference in the Netherlands. After graduation, Callie looks forward to starting her career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Massachusetts General Hospital, with a goal of continuing to positively impact patient care and healthcare outcomes.
