Page 3 Need Advice? Send letter to Dear Girlfriend at Tampabaytammy@hotmail.com
Dear Girlfriend, One of my friend’s daughters is out of control and I don’t think her parents have a clue. She is sending half naked, topless and t-back pictures to boys and the boys are passing the pictures around. I saw them on one of the boys’ phones and was shocked. She is also talking about what she can do sexually, like a lil freak, as if she thinks that is cute. I have known this child since she was born. Her parents and I have traveled in the same circle all my adult life. I really want to tell her mother. I see them every Sunday because we also attend the same church. Even though I con sider her a friend, we are no way as close as we were in the old days. I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news. I have always heard “kill the messenger” and mind your own business. I am worried that her mother will resent me if I deliver this Girlfriend, message.Itoldone of our mutual friends because she is closer to the fam ily than me. She said she is not going to tell either. We both agreed.... this is a letter for Girlfriend. What would you do? A Friend Dear A Friend, Kill the messenger comes from the devil and it inhibits us from say ing what needs to be said out of fear of what will happen to us person ally. You are more worried about keeping a friend that you already don’t have, than saving the child. Let’s take the focus off of you and the mother and back on what’s best for her daughter. Call her mother and tell her to check her daughter’s phone or face book page because she is misrepresenting herself. It’s not what you say, but how you say it. Don’t come with a bunch of hearsay, only come with Childrenfacts.areborn in sin and full of lies and mistakes. It may not be your place to whip them like they may need, but it’s your place to tell their parents. If the mother is not there, it is your place to save them from Whetherthemselves.yourecognize it or not, you are part of the village. And as a part of the village you are supposed to help direct the child in the way they should go. Parents can’t catch everything. That’s when the village (YOU) comes into play. Of course, any mother will be disap pointed and may even avoid you afterwards from embarrassment but it’s a chance you should take. If this behavior goes unaddressed, it will continue. If it was my child, I would want to know and would be grateful to have the chance to curtail that behavior. She may surprise you and say “thank you for looking out” but if she finds out you knew and did not tell her but told someone else, she will definitely be through with you. She may feel you are talking about her child spreading gossip, trying to hurt, rather than trying to help. We, the village, have been failing our children. We see them and say nothing. I tell children I don’t even know “I am going to tell your momma” and they usually straighten up. All my children’s friends knew I would call and tell on them in a New York minute, if I could not handle it myself. Be the village!

I recently read an article about the importance of understanding the connection between the Black Family & Black Wealth. by Rick Wallace, Ph.D., & Psy.D. The article is an introduction to his up coming book Chasing The Ghost: The Quest for Black Wealth. I found I share his sentiments. My wife and I promote marriage and family through our event, The Power Couples Ball. We believe that marrying should be the goal of every soul. Parents jointly raising their children, pass ing onto them a legacy of wealth, health and tradi tional values. However, a huge problem for most Black families is the absence of a father in the home. “With slavery and systemic racism, Blacks and indigenous people around the world have found themselves behind. With Share cropping being one step from slavery, whites coming in the night stealing and killing, stripping us of our land and real property, African Americans have found themselves starting over again and again. Rose wood, Black Wall Street and Tulsa Oklahoma are all historical proof of the setbacks put on African Americans and our loss of generational wealth. Re-gentrification, losing paid for homes to tax sales and predatory lending practices have left us struggling to get started. With the basic necessi ties of life being our daily concerns, how can we have time to dream of bigger and better when your daily prayer is to get a ride to work and to pay rent on time? We all know the problem, hopefully we can find the solution in The importance of understanding the connection between the Black family & Black Wealth
The Black Family & Black Wealth
“A part of the slavery experience for Blacks in America was the stripping away of our heritage — our values, interests, and principles (VIPs). We were taught to value what our masters valued and seek the better interest of our masters. The Black family is the institution through which we reclaim our own values, interests, and principles.
And the children become empowered through a validated identity — a self-certified self-concept that emboldens them to become the best version of themselves.” GO TO https://bit.ly/3zkeC3S get the full scope of his project to enjoy it.
Rick Wallace explains it. The Black family is the initial manifestation of the Black marriage — with the goal being the inculcation of our held VIPs into the psyche of our progeny. When the Black family is intact, there is both feminine and mas culine energy synched together to create synergy — a force that multiplies our individual capac ity — developing the ability to accomplish more together than we can alone. When the family is whole, the man is respected, encouraged, and inspired, and the woman is cov ered (physically, spiritually, and emotionally).

The day Obama took office, the Dow closed at 7,949 points. Eight years later, the Dow had almost tri pled, closing at 21,414. General Motors and Chrysler were on the brink of bankruptcy, with Ford not far behind, and their failure, along with their supply chains, would have meant the loss of millions of jobs. Obama pushed through a con troversial, $80 billion bailout to save the car industry. The U.S. car indus try survived, started making money again, and the entire $80 billion was paid back, with interest. One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, ‘I cannot accept money from you, I’m doing community service this week’ The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a ‘thank you’ card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door. Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, ‘I cannot accept money from you, I’m doing commu nity service this week.’ The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a ‘thank you’ card and a dozen donuts wait ing for him at his door. Funerals A woman has her husband taken to the funeral home for final prepara tion. A couple of days later she goes in to see how Clyde looks. She ex claims, “Clyde looks so nice. You did a great job. I just have one re quest. I never liked that blue suit, I think he would look so much nicer in a black suit. I don’t care how much it costs, find a nice black suit for him.”
A man spoke to each of his 3 sons when he sent them off to college. “I feel it’s my duty to provide you with the best possible education, and you do not owe me anything for that. However, I want you to appreciate it. As a gesture of appreciation, please each put $1,000 into my coffin when I Anddie.”so, it happened. The sons be came a doctor, a financial planner, and a lawyer, each successful finan cially. When their father died and they saw him in the coffin, they re membered his wish. First, the doctor stacked 10 crisp $100 bills onto the chest of the de ceased. Next, the financial planner placed $1,000 there in 20 crisp $50 bills. Finally, it was Ralphie, the heart broken lawyer’s turn. He slowly reached into his pocket, removed his checkbook, wrote a check for $3,000, put it into his father’s coffin, and took the $2,000 cash. The lawyer is now in Congress, possibly from your district.
Several days later she comes back in and sees Clyde. “Wow, that’s a beau tiful black suit. I fits him perfectly. It looks like it’s tailored for him. I knew he would look handsome in a nice black suit. It really doesn’t matter, but how much will it cost?”

Old Friends
The farmer said, “Well, as a matter of fact, my farm is very close to that house. It is just a bit further, I would walk you there but I can’t carry this Thelot.” old lady suggested, “Why don’t you put the can of paint in the buck et. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in your other hand.” “Why thank you very much,” he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home.Onthe way he says, “Let’s take my short cut and go down this alley. We’ll be there in no time.”
The Walk Home
The guy says, “I don’t know about you, but I stepped on a turtle”.
The funeral director says, “Actually Mrs. Smith, there’s no charge.” “No, I can tell that’s a custom suit,” she says, “I don’t mind paying. Really, how much does it cost?” “Actually, there really isn’t any cost,” states the funeral director. “How come?” she asked. “Well, as it turned out another lady brought her husband in just af ter you left. She didn’t like his black suit and wanted him to have a blue ExposedA five-year-old girl went to the of fice with her father on “Take Your Kid to Work Day”. The little girl was all smiles and very excited! As they were walk ing around the office, the young girl started crying and getting very cranky. Her father surprised and em barassed by her behavior asked what was wrong with her. As the staff gathered round, she sobbed loudly:” Daddy, where are all the clowns that you said you worked with?”
Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades. Over the years, they had shared all kinds of activi ties and adventures. Lately, their ac tivities had been limited to meeting a few times a week to play cards. One day, they were playing cards when one looked at the other and said, “Now don’t get mad at me... I know we’ve been friends for a long time but I just can’t think of your name. I’ve thought and thought, but I can’t remember it. Please tell me what your name is.” Her friend glared at her. For at least three minutes she just stared and glared at her. Finally she said, “How soon do you need to Know?”
The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, “I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won’t hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and have your way with me?” The farmer said, “Holy smokes lady! I’m carrying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chickens, and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do Thethat?”old lady replied…… “Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the paint on top of the bucket, and I’ll hold the chickens.”
The third woman has observed all of this and not wanting to be chained for eternity to an ugly man, is very very careful where she steps. Although the turtles seem to get more densely packed together she manages to go months without stepping on any tur tles. Then along comes Saint Peter with a stunningly handsome man, the most handsome she has ever laid her eyes on. He was tall dark and hand some. Saint Peter without saying a word, chained them together. Happily the woman says, “I wonder what I did to deserve to be chained to you for all of eternity”

Story of the Haircut
A farmer stopped by the local me chanics shop to have his truck fixed. They couldn’t do it while he wait ed, so he said he didn’t live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware Store and bought a buck et and a gallon of paint. He then stopped by the feed store and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem – how to carry his entire purchases home. While he was scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, “Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane”
Turtles Three women die together in an ac cident and go to heaven. When they get there, Saint Peter says “We have only one rule here in heaven, Don’t Step On The Turtles”. So they enter heaven and sure enough, there are turtles everywhere. It’s almost impossible not to step on a turtle. Even though the first girl tries, she mistakenly stepped on one. Along comes Saint Peter with the ugliest man she’d ever seen. Saint Peter chains them together and says, “Your Punishment For Stepping On a Turtle is to stay chained to this ugly man.”Thenext day, the second lady acci dentally steps on a turtle and along comes Saint Peter who doesn’t miss a thing and with him another one of the ugliest men ever seen. He chains them together with the same admon ishments as the first woman.
