Supporting our local communities

While many of us enjoy a few days of fun, family time and a little over-indulgence over the festive period, for too many in our community, Christmas is a time of added stress and financial hardship.

Throughout November and December, colleagues across the Trust have generously donated food, treats, gifts and household essentials to some of the most disadvantaged families across Stockton-on- Tees, Hartlepool and the surrounding areas.

Over Christmas, the Trust collected tinned vegetables, biscuits and cakes for Stockton, Billingham and Hartlepool foodbanks so that local families could get together and enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner with one another.

You also donated hundreds of gifts to our local Salvation Army branches to help make the festive period a little more special for the children and young adults in our community who may not have much under the tree this year.

None of this would be possible without the Trust’s dedicated volunteer drivers who graciously collect our donations and drop them off at local foodbanks and charities.

Remember, we don’t just collect for Christmas – our foodbank collection scheme runs year round to make sure those in need don’t go without food, hygiene products and household essentials.
