Here at the Chamber, we communicate with thousands of businesses on a daily basis but we recognise that we don’t often take the time to get back to basics and explain exactly why we’re here and what we do. The information enclosed in the pages to follow captures the purpose, mission and key activities that support business growth in the Nelson Tasman region.

Some recent examples include: Partners in PROJECT KŌKIRI, the region’s economic response and regeneration engine in response to the economic impacts of COVID-19 in collaboration with NRDA, local and central government, iwi and business leaders. Providing administrative assistance to BUSINESSES FOR CLIMATE ACTION in their mission to encourage local businesses to reduce their carbon footprints. Establishing the INTEPEOPLE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, an 8-week course assisting good leaders to become great leaders.
Facilitating the YOUNG ENTERPRISE SCHEME with over 300 local young people getting real world business experience and being mentored by 75 local business leaders. Working on the TE TAUIHU INTERGENERATIONAL STRATEGY as a steering group member and advisor bringing the business voice to our regional strategy. Taking a lead role, in partnership with the NRDA, on the development of the successful ‘WE’VE GOT THIS’ CAMPAIGN which reached over one million people.
