Northamptonshire Black Communities Together (NBCT)

In partnership with NBCT a new forum called ‘Northamptonshire

Black Communities Moving Together’ was launched in December 2022 to support ethnically diverse communities to be more active in Northamptonshire.

Through the monthly forum, leading organisations provide opportunities across Northamptonshire for Asian, African Caribbean, and African communities to become more active and improve wellbeing. The forum will also be focusing on changing behaviours, tackling inequalities and removing the barriers that prevent the Black community from leading more active lifestyles.

To launch the forum, Black organisations were invited to apply for funding and six grants were awarded totalling £19,827, supporting members of the community increase physical activity.
