Having your child diagnosed with a serious illness is every parent’s dread, but the silver lining for Tristian and Paula Park of Rolleston has been overwhelming community support. In August this year the couples’ three-and-a-half year old daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with leukaemia. Charlotte’s parents had taken her to the doctor when her flu like symptoms did not go away. They were sent to the hospital for further tests.
