p Dargaville High School’s new head prefects have been announced with four students taking up the challenge to lead the school next year. Conor Willy is to take on the role of head boy, Jasmine Rae as head girl and Hoani Rogers-Brown and Stephanie Cole will support them as deputy head boy and girl respectively. “Our management have met with the Operations manager of NEST, Dean Voelkerling, to discuss placing the helipad at the sports grounds and he is happy with our proposed site,” said sports association manager Cheryl Anderson.
“The project will however cost more than we initially thought because the helipad needs extra thick concrete, with strong reinforcement, to withstand the load of the helicopter. The site also needs extensive drainage.” continued on page 4 …
