 Fundraising can be fun when it is turning donated goods, be they rescued from a skip, or just unloved in a shed or barn, into funds to bolster the services of St John. A small army of volunteers made light of the hard work of sorting and displaying goods, all on sale during the current week at the Maungaturoto Centennial Hall annual Trash and Treasure event, with a hopeful wide-ranging sales target “from $4,000 to $10,000.”
