Supporting the supporters  In support of the Kaipara Hospice, 40 vehicles including motorcycles participated in the annual car rally and travelled from Dargaville through to Parakao, Maungatapere and Tangowahine before returning to Dargaville for prize-giving and celebrating the Hospice Kaipara shop’s 10th birthday. “It was a good way to kick off Hospice Awareness week. We had fantastic weather and everyone enjoyed themselves,” said administrator Pamela Barton. “The shop raises a significant amount of funds which stays right here in the Kaipara and helps to purchase necessary equipment which are not covered by the Ministry of Health. We appreciate everyone who is involved with what we do to help others in our community.”
