p The fourth, final and deciding round of the Penrite Northland Motocross Champs lit up the racetrack at Redhill, just outside of Te Kopuru this past Sunday, with families, teams and solo riders converging to test their mettle against the hot, dry conditions and the freshly revitalised track. From the starting grid to the busy barbecue stall it was action all the way, culminating in a 4pm prize-giving, which saw riders rewarded across a vast number of categories from kids on 50cc machines through to seasoned veterans on full-sized off-road bikes that ripped through the dirt at high speeds.
