Occupations manager for Dargaville and Bay of Islands Hospital, Jen Thomas, said: “Considering the weather had been unpredictable earlier in the day the event was still well supported by hospital staff and the community. Fifteen spot prizes were donated by local and Whangarei businesses.” Proceeds from the entry fee went towards renal patients’ education and support.
