p Former All Black and current Northland and Crusaders rugby star Jack Goodhue visited Dargaville recently, giving some young fans the chance to meet one of their heroes. The odds of young Te Ariki Irving winning the one-in-New-Zealand top prize in a competition run by Milo were long, but his proved to be the winning entry. As a consequence, his prize was presented by a delegation including Goodhue, who came to Pioneer Rugby Park ready to sign autographs and get in a round of touch rugby with the fans. “It’s good to be back on Pioneer Park,” said Goodhue. “The last time I played here was in a Northland under 14s game some time ago. I love the Northern Wairoa region, and it’s great to see these awesome kids out here with great personalities. They’re footy mad.”
