One of a huge influx of visitors to Kaipara this summer is Anais Joye, 29, from Normandy in France, who had her first-ever beach ride while staying in her campervan at Baylys Beach. “I’II have been here in Dargaville for two months and meeting people from around the world and learning some circus tricks thanks to the Kumarani Circus community. I used to ride horses in my country but I have never had the opportunity to ride on the beach. My dream is coming true at Baylys Beach!” she told photographer Ken Cashin.
