Submission deadline looming
p The annual Douglas Logging Swimming Northland 2015 age group championships were held at the Kauri Coast Community pool in Dargaville. Competitors came from 14 different clubs in Northland, including Auckland. Certificates were awarded to the swimmers who recorded the fastest times in each session, in each event and to those who broke records in the pool. Competitor ages ranged from as young as seven to 22, across a varied field.

Court action awaits former CEO u by Paul Campbell
Former Kaipara District Council chief executive, Jack McKerchar, has been formally taken to the Employment Relations Authority, with papers now filed by the council commissioners.

Legal proceedings against Mr McKerchar and also against the Auditor General Lyn Provost in the High Court, over the controversial Mangawhai Community Wastewater Scheme, were instituted in August last year and the documents were then filed shortly before Christmas. No dates for hearings in the coming year have yet been set. The action is the next step in a cost

Relations Authority acts on problems that an employer may have with an employee, such as failure to meet the terms of an employment agreement.
