For the first time in many years, the house leaders beat the staff in the final relay. St. Patricks house were the winners overall and a number of school records were broken. The record-breakers included India Williamson, Tas Pirini-Master, Heidi Virtanen, Anton Weight, Hoani Rogers-Brown, Conor Willy, Kyran Gillespie and Lathan Hutchinson-Walters. The Kaipara District Council’s consultation document on a new Long Term Plan for the district entitled ‘Looking Ahead’ has been released and signals a ‘less aggressive debt recovery programme’ in a more easily understood format, says chair of commissioners, John Robertson. The document covers the years 2015 to 2025 and envisages an annual rates increase averaging 3.5 per cent. Council is now seeking feedback and comment under the Local Government Amendment Act 2014 which requires council to communicate with residents
