Lisa Tolich, currently Head of ICT at the Auckland War Memorial Museum takes over on June 2. She has worked within the museum sector for the past 13 years and is looking forward to her new challenge. “It’s a fantastic job. I’m really excited.” In some senses the move to The Kauri Museum is
a return home. “I’ve got family ties there. My family were pioneering settlers in Paparoa and Ruawai. We purchased a property in Paparoa eight years ago, so the area’s been part of my life.” She says she applied for the job as part of her professional development.
“I’ve been working toward a leadership role. Now I can do that in a community I love.” Ms Tolich says she looks forward to joining the skilled and enthusiastic staff at The Kauri Museum. continued on page 5 …
