NATIONAL SPORTING GOODS ASSOCIATION ANTITRUST POLICY STATEMENT As a prologue to our meetings, please keep in mind there are numerous state and federal laws which absolutely prohibit the exchange of information among competitors or potential competitors regarding price, product, refusals to deal, or agreements to proceed in certain anti-competitive respects, and no such exchange of this information is either sanctioned or tolerated by the National Sporting Goods Association.
Further, there will be no specific discussion concerning price, product, profits, commission or any other cost components or elements. There are similar prohibitions on any agreement between actual or potential competitors to: (i) allocate customers or territories, (ii) restrain supplies or (iii) not to deal with certain other competitors or market participants. Agreements to deal exclusively or tying the sale of one product to the purchase of another also may be prohibited.
All of the prohibitions apply regardless of whether the activity is overt, covert, oral or verbal, done directly or indirectly and regardless of share of the market or degree of influence. The prohibitions are complicated, and, therefore, this is not an exhaustive list of examples. This is a very serious matter and no deviation from this policy will be allowed. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Conference & Summit 2017
It starts with a spark. The beginning. An idea.“I can do it”.The spark turns into a flame.Burst.You start feeling it.It’s inside you.An obsession.“I can master it”.You believe it.It itches. It burns. It never leaves you.The flame is now bigger. Brighter.“I can win”.You repeat it to yourself.“I CAN WIN” At that very moment. The flame turns into fire. The Fire.Perpetual.You’re engulfed in it.And it will never leave you.Because now. There is a passion within you. That is un-extinguishable. Be brave. Be bright.Be graceful.

Community Collaboration
The Community Collaboration All-Star Award recognizes businesses that go above and beyond in their support of community activities, organizations and/or events. The 2017 Community Collaboration winner is Fleet Feet Sports Baton Rouge for its grassroots relief efforts during the summer flooding in and around Baton Rouge, Louisiana. What began as a simple plan by Fleet Feet Sports Baton Rouge store owner Michelle Forte to distribute shoes to flood victims quickly placed her at the center of a larger relief effort, ultimately donating more than 10,000 pairs of shoes to those who lost everything. “I am truly humbled and honored that the NSGA All-Star Award Committee has chosen Fleet Feet Sports Baton Rouge as the winner of the Community Collaboration All-Star Award. This was certainly a group effort with volunteers, employees, other Fleet Feet Sports stores and of course, the generosity of our vendors, that we could help out the community as we did.” — Michelle Forte, Owner, Fleet Feet Sports Baton Rouge
