“People really want to support local more than ever, but they also don’t want to go way out of their way to do so,” she says. Businesses are encouraged to do their own lighting displays; offer curbside pickup, limited radius delivery, gift certificates, and holiday promotions; and to participate in the Northside Glow social media campaign by using the hashtag #NorthsideGlow.
Neighbors can start watching for business district deals and promotion starting on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28, and going through the end of December. Walking history tours of the park in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy (PPC) are also in the works for the month of December.
