Kids’ Music Program
The National Repertory Orchestra’s kids' music program was created in direct response to the community’s need to support our local daycare centers and day camps. Through both live and virtual content, Summit County children enjoyed quality music programming in a safe environment throughout the summer, helping our local families, providers, and the community at large.
Daycares: Pre-K
The NRO worked with music educator and alumna Silvana Ferrarin to create and offer four interactive lesson plans to daycares in Summit County. The lesson plans included objectives, links to video/audio clips to accompany each activity, and instructions for the teachers.
Day Camps: K-5
In partnership with the Children’s Kindness Network, the NRO’s education program featured the character, Moozie the Cow to teach kindness, empathy, and social/emotional intelligence. Moozie also introduced children of all ages to the instruments of the orchestra. The NRO provided Moozie classroom activities and materials to seven, day camps and one adult daycare.

SURVEY DATA
23
SURVEY DATA Each year the National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) compiles quantitative and qualitative survey data for the organization's Impact Report. This report is made available on NRO's website each December. It is an important tool for the organization to gauge and meet the needs of our musicians, audience and community members. Pop-Up Concerts: Mobile-friendly surveys took the place of in-person surveys for all 2020 Pop-up Concerts to allow for social distancing and CDC health protocols. NRO Virtual Masterclass and Seminar Series: Post-event surveys were made available to all participants to gauge both the quantitative and qualitative impact of the series. Education for local daycares and day camps: Feedback from our youngest music enthusiasts were gathered by instructors and teachers from our local daycares and day camps in a fun and interactive format. NRO Musicians: Alumni careers are tracked for continued education and employment rates. The surveys and the Impact Report are conducted and created by the organization’s Development Coordinator and Development Fellow under the supervision of the Director of Development and Director of Marketing. 24
