ENERGIA ALL IRELAND LEAGUE – DIVISION 1B

NAAS RFC VS UCC RFC

Saturday 13 December 2025

Forenaughts, Naas Kick-Off: 14:30 Match Referee: Daniel Carson

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

On behalf of Naas Rugby Club, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you all and in particular our visitors from UCC Rugby Club and their President John Fitzgerald to Forenaughts, for today’s Energia AllIreland League Division 1B fixture.

Games between our clubs are invariably close and hard fought affairs and I have no doubt that today’s encounter will be no different.

We go into this game on the back of a great win over Garryowen last Saturday afternoon, a match that will long live in the memory. On behalf of everyone in the club, well done to all the players and coaching staff involved

However, today's task will be no easier as our opponents have gained decent victories over Blackrock College and Queen's University in recent outings, meaning a tough test is assured As always regardless of the result, and just as importantly, old acquaintances will be renewed in the clubhouse afterwards

I would like to thank our club sponsors for their continued support A list of their names is at the back of the programme and would encourage you to support them where possible.

A special thanks also to all our dedicated volunteers, coaches and referees who generously contribute their time to Naas RFC The club always welcomes volunteers to help out, and if you would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the Executive Committee.

For those of you visiting us here for the first time you are more than welcome, and we look forward to seeing you return soon The club is lining up many functions and events in the near future and details of these can be found on our social media platforms.

Naas RFC and the game of rugby itself is founded on the values of integrity and respect. Can I ask you to take a minute to read through the Naas RFC Code of Conduct in the programme Please adhere to these guiding principles and especially show respect for our match officials. Without them we would have no game.

After today’s fixture we travel to the Mardyke for the reverse fixture against UCC on January 10th, before our next home fixture against Garryowen January 24th and all support will be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and New Year

Enjoy today’s match Yours in rugby,
