Saturday 14 December 2024
Forenaughts, Naas Kick-Off: 14:30
delighted to welcome you all to Forenaughts today for our last senior mens game of 2024 against Old Belvedere and to mark our Christmas celebrations.
is visiting our younger members, and I am sure the levels of excitement will be high before, during and after he drops by the club!
I extend a very warm welcome to Paul Dowling, President of Old Belvedere, his squad of players and travelling supporters
Our opponents are setting high standards in the league this season. They come into today’s fixture on top of the table with seven wins from eight games and will present a formidable challenge to us this afternoon.
Naas lie in sixth in the table and will be looking to get back to winning ways to finish off the year after the narrowest of defeats to second placed Nenagh Ormand last week.
While the visitors might be expected to take the spoils back to Dublin, we have a good track record at home against Belvo having won three out of the last four meetings here in Forenaughts.
It promises to be an intriguing encounter, and I wish both sets of players and coaching teams the best of luck. Here’s hoping for a sporting and injury free game.
Many thanks to our club sponsors for their continued support. A list of their names is at the back of the programme, and I would encourage you to support them where possible
Naas RFC and the game of rugby itself is founded on the values of integrity and respect Can I ask you to take a minute to read through the Naas RFC Code of Conduct which is included later in the programme.
Please adhere to these guiding principles and especially show respect for our match officials Without them we would have no game
Finally, I would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas and the best of health for 2025. Enjoy the game.
Gerry Prendergast President Naas
