Life at Bell Life

Welcome to the Metroburb, your journey starts here....

When we imagined the Metroburb, our goal wasn’t simply to redevelop an iconic building. It was to create a place where people would genuinely want to spend their time.

Today, Bell Works is filled with entrepreneurs, families, artists, students, neighbors, visitors, and dreamers—all sharing the same space in unexpected ways.

Whether you’re here for coffee, a meeting, dinner, a concert, shopping, or simply to explore, I hope you discover something that inspires you. Welcome. Make yourself at home.

Let’s take a trip through Bell Works!

Bell Works is the reimagination of the historic former Bell Labs building in Holmdel, N.J. Today, the building is a one-of-a-kind destination for business and culture, complete with a blossoming ecosystem of technology, traditional offices, retail, dining, hospitality, and much more. Bell Works is open to the public seven days a week.

Nobel prizes have been awarded for work completed at Bell Laboratories.

Bell Works is considered a Mid-Century modern architectural masterpiece, known as the biggest mirror in the world.

Designed by Eero Saarinen, Bell Works is actually four distinct buildings. The original structure was completed in 1961, and then expanded in the 1980’s to become the spaces we enjoy today.

Did you know?

Architectural Digest named Bell Works the most iconic building in New Jersey.

The 2 million square foot building is roughly the size of the Empire State Building tipped on its side.

Bell Works is home to the largest photovoltaic skylight in the U.S.

The Bell Works photovoltaic ceiling can generate about 20% of the building’s power!

Bell Works is on the National Registry of Historic Places. That means that the orginal bones of the building cannot be changed.

Bell Works is the film location for dozens of popular TV shows, movies, commercials, and more!

At Bell Works, the best amenity is life itself.

There’s always something happening here - from yoga classes on the Turf to Bell Works Fresh weekly markets on The Block, Yappy Hours at Bar Bella to sound healings at Zen Lake. This is a place for everyone - professional, community

member, student or child - whether it’s browsing the shelves of the Holmdel Library, grabbing coffee for a quick pick-me-up or collaborating at coLab, our co-working space.

Everyone can shop, eat, play, learn, care, and move at Bell Works.
