A very big thank you is in order for our retiring Neighbours Paper (NP) editor Tom Whiting after eight years of sterling volunteer editing. He will be a difficult act to follow.
In this issue we re-visit Warren Farm and Hanwell Nature’s new attempts to save its 61 acres from environmental destruction. We review past and present activities of Ealing’s oldest charity – the Charity of William Hobbayne. A new annual feature is our review of some of what Ealing Council did throughout the previous year. We submerge ourselves in underwater hockey, cover ten of our local choirs and showcase some of Ealing’s amateur poets in celebrating Spring. Read on to learn about ‘edible’ playgrounds and the threat to a Southall Afro-Caribbean legendary venue – the Tudor Rose.
