There stretches before us even the showpiece of Manueline architecture - the architectural style of the era of discoveries: the Jeronimus Monastery. Near the river you will find the symbol of Lisbon, the Belem Tower. Next on our way we cross the Monument to the Discoveries. There was build a monument in memory of the great sailors. Salamanca was founded during the ancient times as Salamantica. Under Roman rule (133 v. Chr. Until about 712 n. Chr.), the city grew into an important trading center. In the 8th century, the city was occupied by the Moors: As part of the Moorish invasion of the Iberian Peninsula Musa ibn Nusayr conquered Salamanca. Only in 1085 it was by Alfonso VI of León recaptured. During the conquest and re-conquest, the city was largely destroyed and was long time almost uninhabited. Under Raimundo of Burgundy in 1102 began the period of re-population. Monuments in Baroque, Renaissance and Plateresque can be still discovered. Salamanca foi fundada em tempos antigos como Salamantica. Sob o domínio romano (113AC – 712DC) a cidade tornou-se um importante centro comercial. No Sec. VIII a cidade foi ocupada pelos mouros: como parte da invasão moura da península ibérica Musa ibn Nusayr conquistou Salamanca. Somente em 1085 ela doi recapturada pelo Rei Alfonso VI. Salamanca is known for its university and its famous frog on its façade, which is known as the mascot of the university, filling the city with more than 40,000 students, which gives it a vibrant, youthful character.

The university is the oldest in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. It was founded in the year 1218.

Already in the 16th century it was one of 8,000 students. The city has two cathedrals one of the 12th and the other of 16th century, but form a common complex. The city has about 50,000 inhabitants and is located about 110 km north-west of Madrid on the river Adaja. Along with Toledo and Segovia she is one of the three historic cities around the Spanish capital. Ávila is a very old city. Ever since the Roman period, the city was inhabited continuously. Under the Visigoths it was one of the most important of the Kingdom due to its proximity to the capital Toledo.

From the 8 to the 11th century Ávila was Moorish. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. The most important monument is the 2500 meters long, perfectly preserved Roman city wall with its 88 towers and nine gates. Do séc. VIII ao séc. XI Ávila era dos Mouros (muçulmana). The Old Town with the cathedral Santa Maria from the 13-th century to 15-th century and the Alcazar from the 16-th century as well as numerous other churches, a monastery and museums was taken up in December 1977 in the list of the UNESCO-world cultural heritage. The Montserrat is not a sacred mountain and place of pilgrimage because of its shape, but its very old hermitages and the Benedictine's monastery with the famous black Madonna. O Montserrat não é uma montanha sagrada e lugar de peregrinação por causa do seu formato, mas é um povoado velho e monastério dos Benedetinos com a famosa Madonna Negra.

Montserrat is about ten kilometres long and five kilometres wide. The "Pic de Sant Jeroni" is the highest top with an altidude of 1235m. It is located in the geographic centre of Catalonia. O Montserrat tem 10 km de comprimento, 5 de largura. O pico de San Jeroni é o mais alto com 1235m de altitude. É o centro geográfico da Catalonia.

The "Vall Malalt" ("evil valley") is a gap that cuts the mountain. The Montserrat monastery is located on a ledge at an altitude of 725 m above sea level in the crack. Early on, the Montserrat gained religious significance. O “Vall Malalt”( Vale do mal /diabo) é uma fenda que corta a montanha. The cancellation fees may be less, but all cases will be considered separately. 

Some monuments, par example the Alhambra, need to be booked and paid at least 3 months prior to arrival to guarantee the allotments. After the definite booking, the entrance tickets cannot be cancelled anymore without fee, not even one by one. Depending on the season, fairs, congresses or other events, some hotels may request an early deposit payment. In this case the cancellation policy of the hotel will be applied.
