Punctuality

As an Academy we aspire to create a culture where all staff, students and parents/carers work together to promote the best outcomes for the young people in our care. Our school day starts at 08:35 ready to learn. There are many benefits to being in school and on time:

• Helps your child make and keep friends.

• Helps set your child’s day off to a good start and puts them in a positive frame of mind.

• Sets your child up for the future - whether it’s College, University or work.

• Helps your child understand that school is important and education is valuable.

• Helps your child to develop a sense of responsibility for him/herself and towards others.

• Is linked to good attendance - good attendees have more opportunities and, therefore, achieve more.

• Leads to a higher rate of success and self-confidence.

If students are late to the Academy, they will be dealt with in line with the Academy policy.
