We’ve been together since 2007 when the Niswonger Performing Arts Center swung its doors wide open to introduce you to a stage of wonders. National touring artists from around the world have inspired over 275,000 guests from this Van Wert Live stage. It has been our distinct honor to welcome friends from near and far to VAN WERT, Ohio’s Little Music City.

Summertime in Van Wert is made complete by the Feel Good Fridays Series in Fountain Park. This outdoor concert venue welcomes over 10,000 guests each summer from a multi-state region.

They know that free, high-quality performances are featured in historic downtown Van Wert every Friday night thanks to the generous contributions of the Van Wert County Foundation.

The Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation (VWAPAF) is a non-profit organization powered

by The Van Wert County Foundation. The VWAPAF presents Van Wert Live events at three venues. The Crown Jewel, seating 1200 patrons, is the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. In 2021, The Grandstand at The Van Wert County Fairgrounds was introduced as a Van Wert Live venue and many new patrons enjoyed their first experience of live entertainment in Van Wert with Country star Chris Lane. This 5200 capacity outdoor venue diversifies our artist offerings to reach a broader audience.

On behalf of the VWAPAF Board and Staff, we celebrate the return of live entertainment. It is a gift that we no longer take for granted. At any given performance, the community surrounding the stage takes on different demographics, but for two hours of time is united, forever bound together by the memories of those moments. We believe in the power of LIVE entertainment as it has the ability to inspire, encourage, uplift, and enrich lives. We exist to make the arts accessible. We are committed to making entertainment experiences SO GOOD that you return again and again.

The orchestra is visited not only by local music-lovers but by cosmopolitan Polish and international patrons alike. This orchestra is for those who enjoy art of the highest quality. The Philharmonic organizes symphonic concerts, recitals, and chamber music soirées performed by the most prominent Polish musicians. The orchestra is led by Wojciech Rodek, one of the most prominent conductors of his generation.
