編輯室的話
立秋後，入夜微涼，散步至歌劇院，參與一場嚮往已久的演出，與同樣奔波於忙碌社會的藝文愛好者來場不期而遇的邂 逅……這樣的生活，飽滿而充盈，帶給我們每一個人面對明天的新能量。就如同本期《歌劇院時刻》介紹的兩位藝術家： 黃宇琳與布拉瑞揚，創作與生活是他們傳遞無限能量的方程式，也讓他們一步一腳印地成為更成熟的自己。
本期在「歌劇院群像」登場的，也是一群享受生活、持續精進的「後青年」。這些來自社會各階層的熟齡表演者，不畏 懼名為「退化」的地心引力，跟著講師葉文豪從呼吸學起，在音樂劇的表演中翱翔飛躍。在他們身上，我們看見了藝術 所蘊含的不敗魅力。

Editor’s Preface
Into the fall, take a stroll to the Theater in a cool-down evening. Sit in for a show you have been waiting for, or encounter other artlovers who are also often tied up with all the fuzz-buzz. Enriching and refreshing, such experiences instill in us with new energy to face tomorrow. So much so like two artists featured in this month’s NTT What’s On: HUANG Yu-lin and Bulareyaung Pagarlava. Creation and life not only weave together their formulae for delivering infinite energy, but also coach their step-to-step becoming.
In this issue, “Portraits of NTT” will showcase a group of golden agers who embrace life and keep pursuing without limitation. Unperturbed by the gravity of ‘degeneration’ and starting with breathing exercises, this group of golden-aged performers from all walks of the society follows the instructor, YEH Wen-hao, to fly and jump in the musical performance. Through them, we truly feel that undying charm of the art.

「你自以為是的正義，可能把另一個人推向地獄。」在 戲院犯下無差別殺人案的兇手；想尋求公道的被害者父 母；試圖撕下「殺人魔家人」標籤的加害者家屬；被視 為「魔鬼代言人」的人權律師，究竟誰是善？誰是惡？ 輿論就是一場社會公審，「你」就是擁有投票權的「輿 論」，2 次公投將導向 4 個不同的結局，你的一票也許能 阻止下一場悲劇的發生。
“Your justice might be his hell.” A murderer who committed massive shooting in a movie theatre; parents of the victim who are desperate to seek justice; families of the perpetrator who are bereft of hope of getting rid of the social stigma; a human rights lawyer who is defamed as the “devil’s advocate.” Who is good? Who is evil? Public opinion is a trial itself . You are one of judges who would pass down the judgement. Two referendums will lead us to four different endings. When your vote can prevent the next massive killing, how would you vote?

Trio 2:1, a unique ensemble with a warm and down-to-earth style, loves to share its pure lovely music with all music-lovers in Taiwan. After the 2020 annual concert cancelled due to the Pandemic, Trip 2:1 has been quite for a while. In 2021, the Trio returns with the new concert of Hard but Melodious Day. This concert is like a bouquet full of appreciation and blessings for all who have endeavored to safeguard our home. As resilient new blossoms eventually emerge after difficult days, their music also reminds us of the preciousness of a simple concert. In the postPandemic time, a hard but melodious day is also a perfect day.

Shakespeare's Wild Sisters Group
R3: The Remix Edition
理查三世，歷史上聲名狼藉的國王，莎士比亞筆下個性 陰險的駝背跛子，童謠裡的怪物、純真的摧殘者、邪惡 的同義詞。四百年後，卻不斷有歷史學者、文學作家企 圖為之平反……。2015 年首演口碑瘋傳，臺灣劇場重量 級導演王嘉明的莎劇經典再現，帶觀眾穿越歷史音場， 追尋隱匿在時間中的真相，揭開 15 世紀約克王朝與 21 世紀臺灣亂象的政治共謀。
In 2012, a skeleton was found underneath a parking lot near a church in Leicester, UK and later it was confirmed through DNA tests to be the body of the notorious Richard III, a synonym of monster and evil under Shakespeare’s pen, whom many historians and literary writers have now attempted to acquit the king of these charges.
Director WANG Chia-ming, twice Taishin Arts Award winner, revisits this Shakespearian classic play. Ever since its premier in 2015, the wild success of R3—The Life and Death of Richard III made it the most sought-after play through word of mouth. Now returning to the stage as the new version— R3: The Remix Edition, the adaptation of historical plots parallels the political bedlam of Taiwan and further challenges the credibility of history and truth.

《浮游體》通過使用移動平台在動態和靜態之間創建多 種語言，對舞者進行了實驗。編舞家張忠安希望藉此表 達移民在時空變化的情況下，在陌生的社會環境中居住， 面對新環境以及遷徙，他們固有的個人或社會主義在動 蕩的新環境中應如何協調、抵抗和妥協……然後融化為 獨特且穩定的狀態。
No Fixed experimented with dancers by using mobile platforms to create a variety of languages between the dynamic and static. The choreographer CHANG Chung-an's intention is to express the immigrant resident's situation when they move to a new environment along with their migration, under the change of time and space, living in an unfamiliar social environment. How their inherent personal or socialism should coordinate, resist, and compromise in the turbulent new environment...and then melt into a unique and stable state.

作曲家德布西創作了約 90 首的法文藝術歌曲 （Mélodies）。他以法國 19 世紀當代詩人的詩作，結合 自己獨特的音樂語彙，譜出如詩如畫、具象徵精神與印 象風格的歌曲。女高音黎蓉櫻博士為此場獨唱會挑選了 德布西以象徵派代表詩人邦維爾、魏蘭、馬拉梅、和德 布西自己詩詞的早、中期創作為演唱曲目，愛樂者可盡 享這些至今仍為古典聲樂傳唱的經典曲目，以及 19 世紀 末法國詩歌的風采。
French composer C. Debussy composed nearly ninety Mélodies between 1879-1915. He chose to set poetry of his contemporaries, notably symbolism poets. With Debussy’s musical language and well blending of poetry and music, he makes his Mélodies unique and significant in the history of French art song.

Let's Go to the Theater
「真快樂掌中劇團」為臺灣少數三代同堂的家族劇團。
曾參與法國外亞維儂藝術節，入圍台新藝術獎及榮獲第 29 屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳團體年度演出獎」，2020 年《一 丈青》作品入圍第 31 屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳團體演出獎」 與「最佳劇本獎」。
此次在藝起進劇場中帶來 My Puppet My Life 演出，以類似 臺灣廟會陣頭中「公背婆」的形式，運用半身偶的表演 形式，演繹生命迭起的精彩故事，同時也顛覆觀眾對布 袋戲的想像。
Jin Kwei Lo Puppetry Company had participated in the Festival OFF d’Avignon, received the nomination for the Taishin Arts Award and won the Best Group Annual Performance at the 29th Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts and Music (GMATA). In 2020, Cycle of Gangho received nominations for the Best Group Performance Award and Best Script Award at the 31st GMATA.
This time, “Let’s Go to the Theater” will present Jin Kwei Lo’s My Puppet My Life, featuring life-sized puppets similar to the traditional performance often found in Taiwanese temple festivals. A life-sized story with life-sized puppets is certainly going to overturn your idea about traditional Taiwanese puppetry.

作曲家蘇同右以其簡捷流暢的筆尖音符，為女高音、單簧 管、大提琴與鋼琴，寫作充滿臺灣景物色彩的當代室內樂 作品，特邀五位臺灣頂尖音樂家藍麗秋、金玉君、林敏媛、 熊育馨、王秀婷共同演出。蘇同右極為喜愛欣賞臺灣豐富 的人文色彩、與山川河流大自然景觀，公餘閒暇即開車深 入臺灣山林各個角落，四季分明的大自然，啟發了他心中 的靈泉美感，以傳統素材，加上作曲家近年著迷的爵士音 樂元素融入，創作出嶄新的臺灣樂音。
Composer SU Tung-you writes contemporary chamber music works full of Taiwan scenery for soprano, clarinet, cello and piano. Five Taiwanese top musicians LAN Li-chiu, JIN Yu-chun, LIN Min-yuan, Claire HSIUNG and WANG Hsiu-ting are invited and performed together. SU Tung-you is using traditional materials, plus the elements of jazz music to create brand new Taiwan music.

西班牙傑出大提琴家Arturo COSTA柯源盛2020年於 國家表演藝術中心北中南三個場館巡迴演出，皆獲得滿 場觀眾的支持與喝采。2021年他將再次與青年鋼琴家林 晏馳合作，在國家演奏廳演出及臺中國家歌劇院小劇場 演出，此次帶來俄國作曲家蕭斯塔科維契：D小調大提 琴奏鳴曲、拉赫瑪尼諾夫：G小調大提琴奏鳴曲以及臺 灣作曲家郭芝苑晚年所作的原住民音樂「二首賽夏族弦 律」等大提琴作品，再次展現大提琴如歌唱般的動人優 美樂音。
After the great success of his Taiwan concert tour in 2020, the outstanding Spanish cellist Arturo COSTA will once again bring a wonderful performance this year. Arturo Costa has hopes to share his love for Taiwan with more people in this concert. The program includes Shostakovich's Cello Sonata in D minor, the Rachmaninoff's Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 19 and Taiwanese composer KUO Chih-yuan's Two Saisiyat Melodies for Cello and Piano. The cellist Arturo COSTA will once again show the beautiful and touching music of cello.

江恬儀2021鋼琴獨奏會《幽靈低語》發想自作曲家的「最 終」。上半場是舒伯特最後一首鋼琴奏鳴曲。下半場從 舒曼最後一首鋼琴作品《幽靈變奏曲》發想，返頭連結 到舒曼的第一首作品《阿貝格變奏曲》，在最初與最終 之間，是深受舒曼影響的布拉姆斯《舒曼主題變奏曲》， 布拉姆斯在樂譜首頁寫著「他（羅伯特．舒曼）的主題， 獻給她（克拉拉．舒曼）」。這些琤琮琴音，彷彿是音 樂家的幽靈，透過鋼琴家的重現，訴說他們低迴的心語。
Pianist CHIANG Tien-yi wants to share the last pieces of the composers in her 2021 solo recital “Whisper of Ghosts”, including the last piano sonata of Schubert and the last piece of Schumann, “Ghost Variations”. The second half of the repertoire will include Schumann’s first piece “Abegg Variations” and “Variations on a Theme of Robert Schumann” by Brahms.

《生命的終曲》透過「死亡」議題相關作品，一窺文學 與音樂在時空背景碰撞下，經由戲劇化聲響效果傳達意 念。《林中對話》與《羅蕾萊》描述萊茵河畔險峻礁石 及女妖優美歌聲誘惑船隻的傳說；《露克雷西亞》、《杜 蘭朵公主》與《黑桃皇后》女主角最後詠嘆調期望透過 死亡喚回忠貞愛情救贖。《哈姆雷特》的奧菲莉亞對愛 情絕望而終導致發瘋；史特勞斯新婚禮物《四首歌曲》 描述愛侶相伴一生，寧靜樸實中面對昇華終點，展現生 命美麗的一面。

靈感來自日本經典小說《源氏物語》，《光華之君》植 基在作者紫式部與其創作人物光源氏的虛實關係。劇中 醉心寫作的藤夫人，在現實人生對「願得一心人」的期 盼落空，使筆下人物光華君，在意氣風發留情於眾多女 子之後，卻在中年面臨相繼而來的沉痛打擊。舞台上，藉 由藤夫人的視角，虛實互換間看到有情之人的痛苦掙扎。 而面對光華君提出「為何要創作我？」的疑問時，歷盡生 命與創作之艱難的藤夫人能否找到一個完美的解答呢？
The Storyteller and Her Dream is inspired by the classic Japanese literary work The Tale of Genji. The archetypes of the two protagonists comes the main character Hikaru GENJI and the author Murasaki Shikibu. Featuring TANG Mei-yun, the winner of the National Award for Arts as Kong-Huâ and HUANG Yu-lin as Lady Tîng, the stage adaptation tells the story of Lady Tîng, a genius writer who channels her feelings of lost and loneliness to her pen and creates the character, Kong-Huâ, who later on develops his own self-consciousness. The two starts a conversation about love and relationship. While Lady Tîng seeks a till-death-do-us-part relationship, Kong-Huâ leads a Casanova lifestyle. The juxtaposition of the creator and the character of her creation highlights the fictitious parallel of the author’s reality and how the work reflects the pain inflicted by the writer’s own frustration with ideal love lost.

華格納經典歌劇作品《唐懷瑟》屢經修改，他在臨終前 更喊出「尚欠這世間一部《唐懷瑟》！」可見他非常重 視這部歌劇。本次製作音樂採用了旋律優美動人、增加 芭蕾音樂與豐富配器色彩的「巴黎版」，以減編精緻的 室內樂團結合半舞台形式演出，透過當代視角詮釋唐懷 瑟在靈與慾之間的掙扎，死亡並非悲劇，而是昇華。
Tannhaüser is one of Richard Wagner’s master pieces with its overture frequently performed as a separate piece in concerts now. Based on a medieval legend, the story grapples with theme of lust versus love and centers on the struggle of a minnesinger named Tannhaüser who tries to redeem himself and his love for his mortal lover Elizabeth after his encounter with Venus. Banished by his own people and no hope for absolution, the only way for salvation is to wait for the Pope’s crosier to flower. Wagner revised Tannhaüser many times and the well-loved “Paris” version adopted the format of French grand opera and added ballet music. This will be the first time that the “Paris” version (1875) is presented to the audience of Taiwan.

In commemoration of the centennial of Saint-Saëns’ death, this recital takes on the theme of “A Brilliant Century: the Memorial Concert of Saint-Saëns” and features widely known violin pieces of Saint-Saëns. In addition to virtuosos, the recital also introduces deeply sentimental pieces.

NTT 放映室秋季動畫夜與 TIAF 臺中國際動畫影展合作《2019-2020 TIAF 得獎動畫片—大朋友篇》精選 6 部國際動畫 短片。其中來自法國《大海的女兒》一片榮獲 2020「短片競賽」首獎，片中述說三姐妹面臨著海水即將淹沒她們所居 住的土地，在這種混亂之中，姐妹之間的關係開始動搖，各自在內心深處以不同的方式經歷了迫近的死亡。 In collaboration with TIAF, NTT Cinema specially presents 2019-2020 TIAF Award Winning Films with six international animation short films in its autumn screening evenings. The French animation, Sororal, the winner of the 2020 Grand Prix of Short Films Competition tells the story of three sisters facing the crisis of losing their land to the rising ocean water. In the eminent chaos, with their relationship rocked, each experiences impending death deep inside in her own way.

Walk Around Huilai - NTT Neighborhood Walk in Autumn
歌劇院地處百貨精品與商辦大樓林立的七期重劃區，熙攘街道上的輝煌宅邸耀眼奪目，然褪下華服，亦是塊人文薈萃 寶地。踏訪惠來里街區，以愜意步調翻轉喧囂日常，途中與公共藝術不期而遇、探查距今三千六百年的惠來遺址，讓 街區故事串起土地上的文化印記。
橘紅秋葉渲染天際，沿途落葉如同燦爛地毯，伴隨我們細聽城市導覽員傾訴土地故事，探尋隱藏鄰里的摩登瑰寶、昔 日榮光。最後，以豐富早午餐完成這趟美好旅程，一起《惠來走走》吧！ NTT is located in Taichung City's 7th Redevelopment Zone, where department stores and commercial buildings abound. Above the ground, busy streets are flanked by glorious residential buildings; below it, this is also a surprising land of treasures of humanity. In the leisure walk around Huilai neighborhood against the din of daily routines, one might encounter public art by chance and pop into the Huilai Archeological Site dated back to thirty-six hundred years ago. The neighborhood story seems to string up many cultural marks on this land.
With autumn foliage along the road, come with the City guide and enjoy the story of the land, explore invisible niches around the corner, and rediscover past glories. The journey will wrap up with an abundant brunch. Come walk around Huilai!

在科技尚不發達的年代，人們溝通藉由書寫傳遞訊息，若收件人遠在他鄉，「郵差」便是重要樞紐，他負責乘載著思念、 期盼送達目的地的使命，本場講座為您邀請身負重任、至今為民服務 16 年的中華郵政郵務士 差差。自 2014 年接 觸攝影，捕捉鄉間的風光，記錄下充滿人情味的年長者與孩童，為生活增添許多色彩。為了典藏珍貴的照片，創立個 人社群平台，命名為「差差工作記錄」。歡迎您前來歌劇院聽聽他的故事！ In the earlier less tech-savvy era, messages were usually communicated through writing. For far-away recipients, postmen became the key to transport memories and expectations. This lecture features Mr. LI Sung-hua, a professional postman of Chunghwa Post Company for sixteen years. Mr. LI has started to catch rural sceneries and humanistic images of elders and children with cameras since 2014. In order to archive these precious shots, he also starts a personal page and names it the "Work Records of a Postman." In addition to browsing his beautiful photos on Instagram, why not come share his lovely life stories in NTT?

Western Classics Performed in Folk Taiwanese 本月講座邀請長年與嘉義阮劇團並肩作戰的 MC JJ，分享他自 2003 年回到家鄉嘉義，用閩南語及俚語撰寫或改編劇本， 播種戲劇夢想的心路歷程。阮劇團擅長結合臺灣在地文化與經典文本，改編為台語劇作，致力發展當代「常民戲劇」， 更以獨樹一幟的「台語發音」成功打入國際戲劇節，印證「越在地，越國際」的理念。
2021 年，MC JJ 在阮劇團由國家表演藝術中心三館共製的《十殿》中，再次擔任台語翻譯之重任。一路走來堅持的理想， 就讓 MC JJ 來講予你聽！
This lecture features MC JJ, the playwright who has accompanied and worked with Our Theatre in Chiayi for many years. MC JJ will share his journey of chasing a theater dream by developing and re-writing plays in Taiwanese and folk slangs after returning to his hometown of Chiayi in 2003. Our Theatre endeavors to develop contemporary "folk theater" by incorporating local culture and adapting classical texts in Taiwanese. Through bringing "Taiwanese-speaking" productions into international festivals, Our Theater proves the belief that "local is truly global."
In 2021, MC JJ is again in charge of Taiwanese translation of Palaces co-commissioned by three institutions of the National Performing Arts Center. Let's come share his dream and efforts along this journey!

走出戶外，由博學多聞的植物博士帶領小學徒們細心勘察，觸摸樹幹表皮、觀察樹葉輪廓、品味花葉氣味，一起完成 無比珍貴的植物筆記，創造專屬探險記憶！
Turning to the outdoor space, the knowledgeable Dr. Botany will give these young disciples a tour of careful survey: feeling tree bark, observing shapes of foliage, and sniffing the scent of flowers and leaves. Together, they will complete a precious botanic journal and create one-of-a-kind adventure memories!
