It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all the talented Under-12 and Under-13 netball players, Under-11 rugby players, dedicated coaches, and supportive families to the Aloe Cup 2026, proudly hosted at Jeffreys Bay Primary School from 25 to 27 June 2026.
Over the years, the Aloe Cup has become one of the country’s most exciting youth sporting events, bringing together young athletes from across South Africa to celebrate talent, teamwork, and determination. Kouga is honoured to once again host this remarkable tournament in the heart of Jeffreys Bay – a town renowned not only for its natural beauty and hospitality, but also for its passion for sport and community spirit.
This tournament is about more than
competition. It is about creating opportunities for young athletes to grow, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come. To every player taking to the field or court this weekend –enjoy every moment, play with pride, and continue striving for excellence both on and off the sporting arena.
I would also like to extend sincere appreciation to the coaches, organisers, schools, sponsors, and parents whose commitment and encouragement make events like the Aloe Cup possible. Your investment in youth development plays a vital role in shaping the leaders and sports stars of tomorrow.
While visiting our region, we encourage guests to experience all that Kouga has to offer – from breathtaking beaches

and outdoor adventures to local cuisine, markets and warm small-town hospitality.
May the Aloe Cup 2026 be filled with outstanding sportsmanship, exciting competition, and unforgettable experiences for all involved. We wish every team the very best for the tournament and thank you for being part of this incredible celebration of youth sport.
Hattingh Bornman, Executive Mayor of Kouga Municipality

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome every player, coach, parent, o cial, sponsor and supporter to the 9th annual Aloe Cup hosted by Je reys Bay Primary School.

Over the years, the Aloe Cup has grown into far more than a sporting tournament. It has become a celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, school pride and the friendships that are formed through healthy competition. We are incredibly proud of the reputation this event has built and of the schools that continue to support and participate in our tournament year after year.

This year, we are especially honoured to welcome Paarl Gymnasium to the Aloe Cup for the very first time. Their participation adds great value to our tournament, and we look forward to building lasting relationships both on and o the field.
As hosts, we remain proud of our school, our community, and the opportunity to bring together schools from across the region to compete in a spirit of respect and excellence. Every match played, every cheer from the sidelines, and every act of good sportsmanship contributes to memories that our young athletes will carry with them for years to come.
To the coaches and sta — thank you for the many hours of

preparation and dedication invested in our learners. To the parents and supporters — your encouragement and involvement play an important role in the development of our children both as athletes and as young people.

Big plans are already underway as we prepare for a milestone event worthy of the legacy that the Aloe Cup has created.
To all our visiting schools — welcome to Je reys Bay Primary School. May this tournament be filled with memorable moments, strong competition and the true spirit of school sport.
