Delivering Excellence in Health & Safety
This includes the delivery of bespoke internal training modules designed to target the key risks / issues within our industry including, but not limited to, effective Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), Managing Work at Height, Site Induction, Accident Reporting, Lone Working and Working in Occupied Properties.
We operate the ‘Target Zero’ behavioural safety campaign to promote a culture of individual responsibility and accountability for health and safety matters. Novus directly employs suitably qualified and competent Health and Safety Managers on a full-time basis to provide expert Health and Safety advice. Each Manager is assigned to a geographical region to ensure an even distribution of resources.
Each year a significant financial investment is made to health and safety training and development, funding the delivery of a range of training over and above traditional mandatory requirements.
Contracts Managers and Site Supervisors deliver a rolling programme of health and safety focussed Toolbox Talks for all site based staff, including any subcontractors on a weekly basis.

The Health and Safety team undertake 600 site audits per annum and score health and safety compliance against 46 key criteria.
