2023 CAVRAA Meet opens with a bang

Senator Francis ‘Tol’ N Tolentino, ably represented by his Chief of Staff Francisco Ashley L. Acedillo, shared these qualities that athletes must have during the opening rites of the 2023 Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association (CAVRAA) Meet held at the City of Ilagan Sports Complex, afternoon of April 24.

Introduced by the Regional Director Florante E Vergara, the senator’s representative highlighted these qualities as the same that will make the athletes succeed over battles in life

Acedillo also underscored the lessons in life that can be learned from the sports activity

“Sa laro gaya ng sa buhay, tama ang pagbangon mo kung ikaw ay nadapa pero mas tama ito lalo kung tinulungan mo ang kapwa mo na bumangon sa pagkadapa nila,” the chief of staff added

Meanwhile, Vice President and concurrent DepEd Secretary Sarah Z Duterte-Carpio expressed her congratulatory greetings through a video recorded speech

Palarong Pambansa athlete Justin Lexis P Aglugub and Dr Joselito L Narag led the Oath of Amateurism and Oath of Technical Officials, respectively

After the lighting of the friendship urn, the delegation banners were hoisted by the Philippine National Police which signaled Director Vergara to officially declare the opening of the regional sports event
