Operators Quick Guide - Xsite 3D

Page 1

You can select or change the bucket or attachment of your choice

You can select four different quick actions in the middle of the toolbar

To achieve the required measurement accuracy for 3D machine control in construction (centimeter-level accuracy), the system requires an RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) correction signal.

The correction signal can be obtained either from a local site base station or via a network correction service (NTRIP).

Check with the site surveyor whether the construction site uses a local base station and what settings are required to use the base station with the machine control system.

The correction message from a local base station can be transmitted either via radio or through a network correction service

You can open projects from the project list in the main menu

1 Open the Main Menu

2.Select “Project”

3 Select “Active Project”

KWhen you have selected the desired project, you can choose a model for measurement.

The system provides three ways to select models for measurement:

1.Use the arrow buttons in the map view to browse surface models at the machine’s location.

2 Press and hold the desired object in the map view (lists objects located in the selected area).

3 Use the Object Selection button on the toolbar (lists all model data in the project).

The system categorizes the model data by type into tabs:

Surface: Structure surfaces

Line: Pipes, cables

Point: Light pole foundations, manholes

1.Select the tab according to the model type.

2.Select the desired model from the list.

3.Press “Select”.

After selecting the model, choose the correct measuring mode from the bottom of the screen

From the Model Colors and Visibility menu, you can change the visibility and colors of project data.

The data is divided into tabs based on its source:

1 Design – Contains all design data imported into the project

2.Created – Contains models created within the system.

3 Surveyed – Contains survey data collected with the system

Background maps and warning maps are always shown at the beginning of the design data

Model colors can be changed using the color icon.

Model visibility can be changed using the light bulb icon.

Always check your system’s positioning accuracy (3D) when starting work at a new construction site using the site control point (a point measured by the surveyor that contains X, Y, and Z coordinates).

1.Ask the site surveyor for the control point coordinates (X, Y, Z).

2.Place the bucket measurement point precisely on the control point.

3.Compare the bucket measurement point coordinates with the control point coordinates.

If the accuracy is not within the site tolerances, perform a bucket accuracy check

1 Open the “Main Menu”

2.Select “Machine and Buckets”

3 Select “Accuracy Checks”

4.Select “Bucket Accuracy”

5 Perform the check according to the system instructions.

If the error is more than ±2 cm, it is recommended to recalibrate the bucket.

If the bucket is worn or when new buckets are acquired, it must always be calibrated before using it with the 3D machine control system

1.Open the “Main Menu”

2 Select “Machine and Buckets”

3.Select “Buckets”

In the bottom menu bar, you will find the following functions:

Add a new bucket

Remove a bucket

Recalibrate a bucket

Quick bucket calibration (sufficient if the bucket has only worn due to use)

Select the appropriate calibration method.

The system user interface will guide you through the calibration steps.
