Our new directional statement has been issued Through our Provincial Assembly we Notre Dame Sisters create a directional statement that guides our ministry and prayer over the next four years. Read our statement below. We will be offering more reflections on various points in this statement soon. Grounded in the Gospel message of Jesus and grateful for God’s abundant empowering grace, we, the Notre Dame Sisters of Omaha, humbly and joyfully commit our lives and resources to: Deepen a contemplative spirituality that shapes our values and decisions Promote solidarity and justice for all, especially the marginalized and neglected Fulfill our history as a province with active and bold openness to God’s call in our lives We do this by: Practicing prayerful discernment individually and as a province Fostering participative partnerships with others to transform systems of injustice Developing ways to sustain and celebrate our vision, mission, and legacy

Reunion was a great celebration
For parents as they send their children back to school or onto college. For those suffering from COVID-19 and for an end to this global pandemic.
We had a beautiful celebration with our alumnae in September. We celebrated all graduating classes 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961, 1966, and 1971. Read the updates from some of the class celebrating 50 years: 1971 Mary (Murphy) Bickels I have been enjoying life and am blessed with good health, great family and friends. I love being Mimi to our grandson and am so happy they live close by. I have gotten to travel and share life's journeys with my group of friends that have been in my life since grade school. Since 2002 we have gone to Las Vegas together 17 times and have shared so many laughs and adventures - we could fill a book - of which I am hoping to write many more chapters.
Memorial Mass Sunday, Nov. 7 Due to pandemic restrictions, we will not be inviting outside guests this year, but still invite you to remember and pray for those we have lost the morning of November 7, knowing that we are doing the same.
1971 Kristine (Schultz) Stewart I am still working full time for a consulting company in Omaha and thinking of retirement. I keep busy with my family, including our three adult children, three grandchildren and a great-grandson. My husband and I enjoy road trips and are trying to navigate travel and the virus. I also love spending time with my fellow "sistas" from NDA. We have been friends since elementary school and treasure our time together, taking annual vacations and get togethers as often as possible. 1971 Madonna Luers I have fond memories, especially those I worked with on our Hilltopper year book! Like most of you, I'm retired now, in 2018 after 34 years as a Public Relations Manager for the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. I love my life in the country out west, enjoying cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, gardening, fishing, and bird hunting with my husband and our pointing dogs.
