Choral Performance
Longtime member Makenna took some time out of her busy schedule to stop by the studio and record a cover of one of her favorite songs from this show Euphoria. Makenna puts her own spin on Labrinth’s “I’m Tired,” from the closing scene of the show’s finale. Makenna’s performance features soulful vocal runs and evokes feelings of sorrow and hope at the same time. Click the link above to give it a listen!
This month our choir group has been working hard towards a special project in partnership with Gillette Children’s Hospital and Don’t Blink Productions. We rehearsed everyday and learned how to sing the backing part for a new song by the band Cloud Cult. We traveled to Minnesota Orchestra Hall to record a music video & commercial for the hospital and we’ll be recording the audio for the song very soon. This was an amazing experience for everyone and we can’t wait to share the final product!

Synth Sounds
New EP on the Way
16-year-old artist Lavon (AKA Dtm Wayne) has been writing and recording for a couple years now. He’s started taking his craft more seriously and is working on a new mixtape. The first track on the tape is called “Wipe Your Eyes” and it’s up now on Soundcloud. Take a listen!
Making music on a computer is cool, but nothing beats the hands-on experience of playing a synthesizer! During our songwriting and beat making sessions, we’ve been exploring the Novation MiniNova Synth and the different sounds it can make. We’ve learned about filters, arpeggiators, modulation, and so much more!
18-year-old Lay Doh has been writing and recording his debut EP and is planning to finish it up in the next month. He’s been using Soundtrap to write and record demos from home and coming to the studio to create the final versions.
