HARD ROCK CAFE COMPETITION Subsanity, fronted by Notes for Notes alumnus Octavius, earned first place in the Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas Global Battle of the Bands competition. Their victory secured a $1,000 prize and an opportunity to represent Las Vegas at the Coca-Cola Studios competition in Florida, where they will compete for a $10,000 grand prize. Octavius graduated in 2026 and continues to demonstrate the value of youth music programs by pursuing professional performance opportunities.

SONGWRITING CLASS Songwriting class featured five youth ages six to eight who collaborated to create an original song together. For most of the participants, it was their very first experience working in a professional music studio environment. Throughout the session, students learned the fundamentals of songwriting while contributing their own ideas, lyrics, and creative input. The project highlighted the importance of introducing young people to music creation at an early age and giving them a space to express themselves.

SEPT 2026 LAS VEGAS ROB LACY

MAYOR PROCLAIMS 9/20 IS ROB LACY DAY Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkeley officially proclaimed September 20, 2026, as Rob Lacy Day in recognition of his dedication to youth development and community impact. The proclamation honors years of service through music education, mentorship, and creative opportunities provided to young people throughout Southern Nevada. Through his work with Notes for Notes and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, Rob has helped countless youth discover their voices and build confidence through the arts.

JAMES CLUBHOUSE-RADIO COMMERCIAL Students from the James Clubhouse spent two hours in the Notes for Notes studio participating in a hands-on audio production experience led by BGCSNV staff member AC and Rob Lacy. The group was divided into two teams, with one team creating an original Halloween-themed song while the other produced a radio advertisement for a local attorney. The attorney plans to use the student-created commercial on the air, giving participants the opportunity to contribute to a realworld media project.

BRANDYN & LEVI Brandyn and Levi have become positive leaders within the Notes for Notes studio community, consistently encouraging and supporting their peers. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and willingness to collaborate have helped create a welcoming and creative environment for everyone who enters the studio. At the 2026 Sneaker Ball Gala, the duo performed their original song Bang, a high-energy track inspired by the powerful sound systems and bass-heavy culture of car audio.
