STRINGS IN THE BUILDING It’s not every day we get a live violinist around these parts! Welcome to N4N, Sabine!
TAILGATE GROOVES (PICK6) Jax plays basketball and football, so you’ll hear plenty of sports references throughout his music. This track started with us kicking back, listening to some of his favorite artists, and deciding we wanted to craft a smooth, jazzy song for tailgate parties. Here’s what we cooked up.
ALMOST THRILLER TIME Upon hearing the news that we could be featured on the N4N Halloween Album, the Duffie youth immediately broke into full “Thriller“ choreography. I laughed so hard I had to ask them to do it all over again just to capture the moment!

While Max was in the jam room playing animal sound effects on a piano, we joked about incorporating them into our lesson. Later on, during our production session —which started with him playing "Chopsticks"—Max had the brilliant idea to actually bring that joke to life inside the beat. Here is the result!

JAM SESSION EVOLUTION We have a great group of youth—Ben, Hascall, and Jolie—who love dropping in on Fridays to play around with different jams and classics like Radiohead. On this particular day, they brought a violinist along, and I was thrilled to see their band setup expanding. I mic’d up the violin and let them do their thing!
NATURAL CHEMISTRY Jax was fresh off of a recording session and met Aaron in the jam room. Aaron was ecstatic to connect with a fellow musician, and just like that, a collaboration was spawned. It’s always inspiring to see how naturally our youth step into teamwork. Here’s Jax freestyling on the mic with Aaron backing him up live on the drums.
