HALLOWEEN GROOVE DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

We extended Hispanic Heritage Month through November 1st, transitioning teens from Halloween excitement to learning about Día de los Muertos. This created a safe space for vulnerable conversations about loss and grief, allowing them to honor loved ones. We recorded voice memos as if we could have one more call with them.

Halloween Groove is a song created by two artists, Ja’Liyah & Draya. This song was created very quick in the studio one day in October in anticipation for Halloween. While a small tour was happening in the Boys & Girls Club with some representatives from a local news station. The song was created and presented before they left within the hour. It made a great addition to the annual Notes For Notes Ghost Notes Volume III album.

Eva and Dianni love working together in the booth. Eva (Big E) has been coming to the studio much more often this year. Since she has been spending so much time in the studio, she has been recording and working on creating original lyrics and beats. This song was created over a good period of time and finally released in October. The time it took to create is obvious when you hear the song.
