NEANDERTHAL BAND LIAM X GIGI MILAYSIA ON THE MIC

This session was all about rhythm and teamwork. We introduced a new exercise inspired by the song Neanderthal Man, challengingyouthtolockintoasimplekick and snare pattern. Those not on drums grabbed percussion instruments and joined in, creating an organic jam that filled the roomwithenergyandlaughter.

Youth producer Liam, known for adding video-game soundstohistracks, teamedupwithourneweststaff member, Gigi, for a one-on-one session. It was one of Gigi’s first youth collaborations, and the chemistry was instant. Watching them trade ideas and experiment with sounds made for one of the most excitingcreativeexchangesofthemonth.

In this moment, Malaysia took center stage at the Beat Bar, freestyling with confidence and flow. Her growing comfort behind the mic shows just how much she’s embraced the process of expressing herself through music. Every verse she delivers is anothersteptowardherfindingheruniquevoice.
