UNIQUE YOUTH

Sandrea has been a N4N member for many years now, and her artistry has never stopped growing through hard work and determination. She is currently in college pursuing a degree, as well as working part-time. But producing beats worked together to track, mix, and master her latest single. I was there to advise her and lend my expertise, but she did the bulk of the work herself. The song covers heartbreak and betrayal, and the full track is out on our Soundcloud now.

Commonpoint will be putting on a Christmas event this December, and our talented youth were chosen to perform christmassongsinfrontofaliveaudience!Thiswillbemany of their first times performing live, so we are learning proper stage etiquette, how to project our voices, and how to get over stage fright! They are working on singing “Rudolph the red nosed reindeer” and “Jingle bells”, accompaniedbymyselfonpiano. Ifrequentlyassignourexplorerstopairsdedicatedto learning beatmaking and working together to learn production software and make a studio-ready track. This past month, explorers Ana and Kaden finally put the finishing touches on their first beat and left it with me to mix and master! It was a great opportunity to explore pertinent tasks for producers, such as avoiding writers fatigue, and using addition by subtraction to make beats more dynamic. PJ, Jayako, Malachi, and Jordan have been bouncing their lyrical skills off of each other for a while, and united to make a collaborative project with their new rap group. We have been working on lyric crafting, phrasing, and wordplay in a journey to discovereachoftheirindividualartisticidentities.Recordingand mixing over 10 new tracks this summer, the sheer volume of songs they have been able to create has been a testament to theirambition.TheirgoalistoputoutafinishedEPbytheendof theyeartointroducetheworldtotheirnewsound!
