MAKAYLAH KAY - STILL ME Following a strong rollout fueled by social media song and lyric challenges, talent show performances, and standout guest features, Makaylah Kay officially released “Still Me” — a powerful anthem centered on resilience, confidence, and perseverance. The track delivers a bold reminder that despite hurt, betrayal, setbacks, and criticism, staying true to yourself is the greatest victory of all. Through every obstacle and every opinion thrown her way, the message remains clear: she’s still standing, still focused, still locked in… still her.

MUSIC DISCOVERY/SPOTLIGHT SESSIONS Music Discovery and Spotlight Sessions continue to stand as driving forces within the studio experience, creating meaningful opportunities for youth to grow through music, creativity, and self-expression. These programs encourage young artists to discover new influences, sharpen their talents, and build confidence as they share their voices in authentic ways. Month after month, the passion, originality, and personal growth emerging from these sessions reflect the lasting impact they have on every participant —making them essential pillars of the work happening throughout May, April, March, and February.

MAY 2026 N4N (MEMPHIS) DARRELL

RAYMOND JAMES VISITS THE N4N STUDIO The N4N Studio recently welcomed representatives from Raymond James for a special visit highlighting the creativity and growth taking place within our programs. During their time in the studio, one of our standout students delivered an impressive live piano performance, showcasing the skills, confidence, and musical development gained through our ongoing "Play The Notes, Guess The Song!" Piano Lab Series. Moments like these continue to reflect the impact of providing youth with consistent opportunities to learn, practice, and shine through the arts.

FIELD TRIPS: MELROSE & CRAIGMONT HS Students from Melrose High School and Craigmont High School recently visited the N4N Studio for exciting field trip experiences filled with creativity, collaboration, and hands-on music exploration. Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to create beats, experiment with instruments, and immerse themselves in the studio environment while learning more about the creative process behind music production. A few brave participants even stepped up to the mic, bringing energy and personality to the session and making the experience one to remember for everyone involved.

TWINKLE TWINKLE LITTLE STAR W/ EMILY One of the standout moments from the ongoing "Play The Notes, Guess The Song!" Piano Lab Series came when a youth successfully learned and performed “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” through one of the program’s interactive music challenges.

By giving students the notes to familiar songs without revealing the title, the activity encourages critical listening, problemsolving, and hands-on learning. The excitement and confidence students show as they recognize and master each melody continues to highlight the creativity and impact of the program.
