FINAL TOUCHES ON DIY GUITARS Youth artists Raphael, Marc, and Maya put the finishing touches on the custom guitars they built during our recent DIY Guitar Workshop. After assembling their instruments with guidance from staff, participants completed the final stage by painting and personalizing their guitars, celebrating the successful completion of the project through creativity and teamwork. YOUTH HELP RESTORE STUDIO GUITARS Following the DIY Guitar Workshop, youth continued building their repair skills by helping restring and restore guitars in the studio. With a generous donation of string supplies from Ernie Ball, Marc and Raphael have been tuning, restringing, and maintaining both studio and personal guitars while gaining hands-on experience in basic instrument care. Jesus, who also participated in the guitar workshop, joined in celebrating the continued impact of the project and the value of caring for shared musical equipment.

NEW VOICES JADA & MIGUEL Young artists Jada and Miguel recently stepped into the studio for one of their first recording sessions, experimenting with microphones and the recording process. While Jada worked from the producer’s chair, Miguel recorded from the vocal booth, communicating through the studio setup just like a professional session. Both have shown a natural talent for singing, and Miguel has also begun exploring guitar and beat making. We’re excited to watch their confidence and creativity grow.
MARC’S LEADERSHIP IN THE STUDIO Mark has continued to be an incredible asset in the studio, consistently lending a hand with organization, equipment maintenance, and instrument care. From restringing guitars to helping sort older gear, he has taken pride in supporting the space while developing technical skills. Alongside his growing confidence on guitar, Mark has recently begun singing and during jam sessions, making impressive progress both musically and as a positive leader in the studio community.
JOSHUA'S MUSICAL JOURNEY CONTINUES Youth artist Joshua continues reaching exciting milestones as he prepares to attend Berklee College of Music later this summer. Recently, we wrapped up recording his newest original song, "Sea Emperor," under his artist name, Leviathan Class. This month also included the opportunity to watch him perform stand-up bass with a local jazz ensemble at a venue on State Street, showcasing his musicianship and highlighting his growth.
