This is Matao’s second summer with me, and I guess I must’ve rubbed off on him. He told me that after playing drums here at N4N, he decided to join the marchingbandatschool.It’smomentslikethesethat remind me why I do this—to help shape and inspire thenextgeneration.



KARAOKE IS KING

When new Explorers come in, I always like to give them a tour of the studio and the instruments. This time, I had a special surprise—our former youth member Christopher gave a live drum demonstration. Let’s just say the Explorers werehooked!
Saying these youth love karaoke would be the understatement of the year. And honestly, I get it—your voice is the closest thing you have to a personal instrument.

Everyonethinkstheycansingorrap—untilyou put a mic in front of them. But CJ was the exception. With rhythm, flow, and great timing, he showed me he’s serious about making the mostofhistimeinthestudio.
