STUDIO REVAMP

During the first week of February, we took some time to give the Detroit studio some much needed love and attention. Everyone has been very happy to see the new improvements to the studio and we look forward tofurtherimprovingitastheyearprogresses

Fortheblackhistorymonthalbum,theDetroitandSt. Paul studio collaborated on a cover of We are the World by Quincy Jones. Everyone had a great time making it, and we learned a lot about Quincy Jones’ impactonpopmusicintheprocess.

SESSION GOING STRONG BLACK HISTORY MONTH DRUM LESSONS

The collaborative jam session between the piano class and NotesforNotes has been consistently improving! This month we were able to improvise and come up with our own songonthespot.Takealisten!

The community center had an event at the end of the month to celebrate black history month. We were also able to present the behind the scenes video of the youth creating the cover of We Are The World for theentirecommunitycenter!

A lot of youth have been taking interest in the drumset and have been participating in drum lessons. Everybody has been having fun learning new beats and figuring out the coordination needed to play this instrument.
