JWF is a community organization based in Chicago that offers a variety of opportunities for Chicago youth artists. Last month they hosted their monthly open mic, of which I had the pleasure to take two of our youth to. Aiden and Hannah performed at the open mic and received incredible praise.TheyevengottomeetSaba!
I had the pleasure of DJ’ing the Boys and Girls Club’s Valentine’s Day party for the club members. The youth had a great time dancing and singing along to my set! They especially enjoyed me playing their Vday song, “WillYou BeMyValentine?”
Althoughweweren’tabletopostthe cover due to copyright issues, teen member, Madison recorded a dope cover to “Ain’t Nobody” by Chaka Khan. It was our way of celebrating black artists from Chicago. It was Madison’sfirsttimeintheboothand shedidanincrediblejob.
